I thought the steam was moisture that was coming out of the equipment somewhere that would stop after a few times, but it didn't. When the smoke and steam continued it got me thinking and wondering if there was a pieces of plastic protective covering tape that I have not removed that is melted somewhere on the machine and it is burning when I run it...I cannot seem to find anything though **Q: We have had this popper for a few days and every batch but the first one has made chewy popcorn. What are we doing wrong? We leave one door open etc** A: This is what we have done, and our popcorn is never chewy. Before adding anything to the kettle I allow it to run for 5 minutes (both switches on).
