- PalmettoGuard Saw Palmetto, 30 Softgels

This is the first time I bought this brand of saw palmetto. This is a standardized extract of saw palmetto, 320mg providing 272mg of fatty acids. If you are looking for 320mg standardized to 85% fatty acids then that is exactly what this is. They don't state the percentage on the bottle but 272mg is 85% of 320mg. Why should you care? Well all of the clinical studies of saw palmetto that found it effective used either 160mg or 320mg of a standardized extract, standardized to 85% fatty acids. Any saw palmetto that is not standardized has an unknown quantity of the therapeutic component, the fatty acids. I bought this primarily for the saw palmetto but it also contains beta-sitosterol, which is also effective for same reasons. I'm not as familiar with it so I can't comment on the quantity of 90mg. It also contains boron and rosemary extract, but I don't know their purpose. In addition to the 4 active ingredients I mentioned above, the first additional ingredient listed is pumpkin seed oil. I find it interesting that they don't list this in the chart with active ingredients because it has also been shown effective like saw palmetto in studies, including in combination with saw palmetto. They don't list amount of pumpkin seed oil so it must be less than the therapeutic amount of studies. In any event, pumpkin seed oil as a base is a much better choice than the vegetable oil that many other saw palmetto products use. This saw palmetto is also non-gmo certified. It is also easy to swallow. The bottle is a one month supply and a good value for the money.

I’m a super supplement skeptic but this product has cut my nighttime need to pee by half in just a few weeks. Ordered another. Will update any future changes.

Very Disappointed – Same Problem with the second order. I repurchased this product because my first bottle arrived with the capsules clumped together into one large, solid mass. The capsules were stuck so tightly that they broke apart whenever I tried to separate them. Unfortunately, the replacement bottle arrived in exactly the same condition, one large clump of capsules that are difficult to separate without damaging them. This appears to be a manufacturing, storage, or quality control issue rather than an isolated incident. To make matters worse, when I attempted to return the product through Amazon, I wasn’t given the option to do so. That only added to my frustration and turned an already disappointing purchase into a very poor customer experience. Now I am out of my money on both orders is these capsules! I hope the manufacturer addresses this quality issue, as I can NOT recommend this product at all based on my experience.

It took a few weeks to kick in, but I've noticed a drop in night time visits to the bathroom and better emptying. I used to get up 3-4 times a night to urinate, but now I get up 1-2 times. These are gel caps and as other people have mentioned, they will melt if left in a hot mailbox all day. My advice is to set up your order so it arrives when you're home to retrieve it from the mail. I live in Las Vegas and have had no issues with melting if they're not out in the mailbox all day.

Good product seems to be the right mix of supplements to make a measurable difference. DO NOT order this product in the summertime delivering to hot climates. It will arrive clumped into one melted glob. Manufacturer little to no help resolving problem. It’s a shame, I have to load up in the winter to have year round

I recommend this Saw Palmetto product. It has the right ingredients to enhance absorption. I've been using Life Extension brand for about a year now. I've found that these definitely help with nocturia. I've been able to sleep much better.

I ordered it for a friend with prostate problems and he was amazed by the difference it made just in a week. Great 👍

All tables found melted and I couldn't even to pick one. Really disappointed. I paid the money for nothing

I received my order today,but sad to say the soft gel was melt inside.because when I received the bottle was so hot it was exposed to the heat of the sun.how can I drink this supplement.

Good product. I've been taking it for 3 months and I've noticed an improvement on my symptoms. I'll continue using it, see if the benefits are for good.
