You have to clean or replace any filters first

Hi I’m not sure why you would put this in your car.. this is an additive to remove or prevent diesel bug when fuel is left in the tank for a long time in varying temperature. It wouldn’t hurt anything if you did use it but other than boats, farm vehicles etc it would be a waste for you. If you do decide to use it There are instructions on the label I think it’s 3 mls per gallon of fuel and yes you just put it in your filler hole before the diesel it’s simple and you can’t over dose Hope this helps

Hi Bill, I’m using old fuel about 12 year old but it is clean, just use additive to boost Cetane number, but I also siphon it through an inline plastic filter cheap to buy, rot small length of small plastic pipe and it should remove debris, maybe a few times until clear then put small amount of treatment in a glass jar and see if it removes it. Great additive but my old fuel is clear to start with. Good luck Roger
