I hesitated at full price, but when the BenQ ScreenBar Halo dropped to £125, it felt worth a try. After a few weeks of use, I’m glad I picked it up. Fit was my first concern. I’m using it on a Samsung Odyssey G9, and it clamps securely without putting pressure on the screen or interfering with the curve. Setup took minutes. The lighting itself is excellent. It does a great job of evenly lighting the desk without glare on the screen. The control wheel is intuitive, letting you quickly adjust brightness and colour temperature from cool white to warm white, with plenty of range at both ends. Small changes are easy to dial in, which makes a difference during long work sessions. One feature I didn’t expect to care about, but now really like, is the motion sensor. Walking up to the desk and having the light turn on feels oddly satisfying and genuinely useful. You can also control the rear ambient light and the downward desk light independently, so you can run either one on its own or both together depending on the mood or time of day. Overall, the BenQ ScreenBar Halo brought a noticeable quality-of-life improvement to my setup. It’s not cheap, but if you spend a lot of time at your desk and can grab it on a deal, it feels like money well spent.

so far. I wasn't sure whether to buy a cheap, knock off version of this but glad I got the Benq after discovering and using all its features. It mounts securely but gently to the top of my 32" monitor and can be adjusted easily so there's no glare. I wasn't sure about paying extra for a remote but I love it. It feels a quality bit of kit and robust with a simple, functional display. Brightness levels are great and can be increased from 1% to 100% in 1% increments. There's an auto-dimming mode but I don't use it. Colour temperature adjustments range between 2700K to 6500K in 25K increments. The Presence Detector is virtually instant once you're detected and can be set to power off the light(s) at 3, 5, 10 or 15 minutes intervals when you move away from the screen. It has the option of using just the main front light, just the back (ambient) light or both. Once you've found a favourite setting of all the features they can be saved and called up by a simple tap. I'm now think of getting one for my other system.

This is a fantastic lightbar for your home office. One it looks great and functionally it is brilliant. I have a 49" ultrawide curved screen, and this sits on top perfectly. The auto adjustments this does throughout the day based on the surrounding light is very effective. It has changed the way I work completely and removes the fatigue and strain from your eyes completely. From a number of accessories I have purchased for my office, this has been a very good purchase. Superb value for money. In the 2 months i've been using it, I have not had to change the control unit at all. I honestly can't recommend this enough!

I'd been thinking about buying a screen bar for a while and finally went for it when this one was reduced during the Black Friday sales. I work from home during the day and do a lot of photo/video editing during the evening, so spend a lot of hours staring at my screen. My eyes are often tired after so many hours sat at my desk and this has made a big difference to reduce eye strain, especially when using my computer in the evening. Unsurprisingly, it fits my BenQ screen perfectly although I'm sure it will fit most other screens just as well as the mounting foot is adjustable. Quality is very good and it was easy to set up - plugging in to a USB-C port to power it. The wireless puck is easy to use and hasn't required recharging yet even after a couple of months of use. I was slightly worried that I'd be distracted by the glow from the light or reflections, however that really isn't a problem. I went for the Halo 2 over the cheaper version as it has a proximity sensor to switch on when I sit at my desk as well as a rear light to illuminate the wall behind the monitor. So far though I haven't used either. I prefer it without the rear light (although this is just personal preference), but it's nice to have the option of both if I need it - it's easy to select front only, rear only or both with a touch of a button on the puck. The proximity sensor is great - until your cat walks in front of it at 3am and wakes you up as the light switches on. So I quickly disabled that.

Love it. I work from home in my basement, so there is no natural light. The overhead lights are too bright and I can look quite ghastly on video calls (or more ghastly!) with them on. This light is remarkably bright and easily illuminates my whole desk. The backlight is an exceptional idea, removing any contrast in light and making it easier for my eyes. Everything is well made and solid, even the remote control that sits on the desk. Not sure I could do without this light now ... it's well worth the price if you regularly spend time on the computer.

Excellent bit of kit. Pricey, yes, but fits my 32” screen perfectly. Love the automatic on / off sensor. Has plenty of customisation too, with the backlight, brightness and different temperature of lighting. The puck helps you control this with ease. Definitely recommend.

The BenQ ScreenBar Holo 2 is an excellent on-screen lamp. The light is bright, clear, and adjusts beautifully to reduce eye strain during long work or reading sessions. Its sleek design and easy setup make it a classy and functional addition to any workstation. The only downside is the price — it’s a bit pricey, but in my opinion, worth it for the quality

Très franchement, la BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 est un des meilleurs achats que j’ai faits pour mon bureau. Dès l’installation, ça a rendu mon setup beaucoup plus beau, plus propre et plus “premium”. Ça apporte une vraie ambiance, surtout le soir, sans avoir besoin d’allumer une grosse lampe qui casse tout. Au quotidien, c’est aussi ultra pratique pour bosser : • la lumière éclaire parfaitement le bureau sans éblouir • ça évite les reflets sur l’écran • ça fatigue beaucoup moins les yeux qu’un éclairage classique • tu gardes ton bureau clean parce que ça ne prend zéro place La qualité est au rendez-vous : finitions solides, lumière homogène, réglages simples, et le fait d’avoir une lumière “focus” sur le bureau fait une vraie différence pour lire, écrire, travailler sur un clavier, etc. Bref : ça améliore le confort + ça rend le setup beaucoup plus stylé. Je recommande à 100% si tu passes beaucoup de temps sur ton PC.

Utilizzo la BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 da alcune settimane e la differenza si nota subito, soprattutto se si lavora molte ore davanti al monitor. La luce è uniforme, ben distribuita e non crea riflessi sullo schermo, cosa fondamentale per chi fa grafica o video. La doppia illuminazione (frontale + posteriore) riduce molto l’affaticamento visivo, soprattutto la sera. La regolazione automatica funziona bene, ma apprezzo molto anche il controller wireless: intuitivo, preciso e con materiali di qualità. Ottima la possibilità di regolare temperatura e intensità in modo fine. Il sistema di fissaggio è solido e compatibile anche con monitor sottili o curvi. Prezzo non basso, ma qualità costruttiva e comfort visivo giustificano l’investimento. Dopo averla provata, tornare a una lampada tradizionale è difficile. Consigliata a chi cerca una soluzione professionale e curata nei dettagli.

Die BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 war die beste Entscheidung seit Jahren. Schnell installiert, hält bombensicher und erfüllt alle Wünsche, die man an eine Schreibtischbeleuchtung hat. Vollkommen blendfreies, in Lichtfarbe (2700 K-6500K) und Helligkeit komfortabel einstellbares Licht und einen tollen Drehregler zum Einstellen. Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine Halterung für die Webcam, die damit bombenfest hält. Klasse ist die Rückwandbeleuchtung, die gerade abends ein angenehmes Licht an der Wand erzeugt und somit die Augen entlastet. Seit ich diese Möglichkeit nutze, merke ich es selbst in den Augen, wie dies die Augen unterstützt. Backlight und Frontlight lassen sich getrennt voneinander einstellen und so kann jeder die gewünschte Lichtstimmung für sich erzeugen. ich habe aber den Automatikmodus eingestellt, der je nach Umgebungslicht die Helligkeit automatisch regelt und eigentlich immer passt. Was auch durchdacht ist, ist die automatische Einschaltung. Wenn man diese aktiviert, dann schaltet das Licht ein, wenn sich an den Computer setzt und schaltet 5 Minuten nach Verlassen des Arbeitsplatzes die Beleuchtung automatisch ab. Kleines Plus am Rande. Während des Abschaltens wird 30 Sekunden lang die automatische Erkennung abgeschaltet, so dass man nicht erneut durch eine Bewegung die Lampe erneut einschaltet. Fazit: Absolut durchdachte Schreibtisch- und Wandbeleuchtung mit einige netten Details, die das Leben angenehmer und leichter machen. Highlight ist der Drehregler, mit dem man die Lampe in allen Details steuern kann. Wichtig vielleicht auch noch, dass ein USB-Netzteil mit dabei ist, das ist heute auch nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Klar, der Preis ist erst einmal heftig, aber ich muss sagen, ich bereue es, nicht früher gekauft zu haben. Der Komfortgewinn ist so hoch, dass sich diese tolle Beleuchtung auf jeden Fall lohnt. Jeder, der was für die Augen tun will, sollte hier sofort zuschlagen, denn neben einem guten Computer sollte man auch sein eigenes Arbeitsgerät, die Augen, entlasten und diesen etwas Gutes tun.
