Bactine MAX First Aid Spray, Pain Relief Cleansing Spray, 5 oz

Used this when I was a kid over 70 years ago. Bactine is the go-to outdoor scrape relief. Cools and does not sting. Kids will appreciate it. Good for burns and bee/bug stings and bites.

If you are a Gen X’er like me, your mom and grandmother probably had this in the medicine cabinet when you were a kid and got scraped up from playing outside. I decided to buy some as we have had annoying little night flies that come in through the screens and bite. This has stopped the itchiness and it has a great smell that takes me back to when things were less stressful (like being an adult!). It does offer a nice cooling effect too which I think works as a pain reliever. It’s a good value for the money, and I don’t experience any side effects. It’s a good addition to any medicine cabinet.

I'd buy this again! I got two additional piercings in my ear lobes, and this came recommended by my piercer. I used it twice a day as instructed, especially at the beginning of the healing phase. It helped SO much with the initial healing phase discomfort and calmed the area. That said, at one point I used it too often, and it dried out the delicate skin at the lobes and behind the ear. My skin flaked with overuse, but to fix that I applied a tiny bit of Vaseline on the affected areas twice a day with a Q tip. I stopped using this consistently about two weeks ago, and my ears are doing great - photo attached.

I bought this to help a stray cat with a bad cut around his neck. If the city were to pick him up they’d have euthanized him and not bothered to treat him. But he comes to eat & drink here each night so I bought BACTINE and like a miracle the sore is finally closing after a week. I also sprayed some on the cat scratches on my legs (got to close to a fight). This product really works. Easy to use. Instantly felt better. Sprays a nice distance. Every Home and Office should store a can.

I had bug bites from hell from a Mexico trip. This spray really helped soothe the intense itch. It didn't eliminate it completely, but helped a lot. My bites were so bad I had to spray, then apply ointment, and cover with gauze. After 2 days of that, the bites finally started shrinking and not itching as much. This spray is well worth the money.

Bactine MAX first aid spray + pain relief is very obviously bubbly & fizzy when you spray it on. It acts similarly to straight up hydrogen peroxide. But it is not quite that aggressive - in fact, I use Bactine in place of hydrogen peroxide 100% of the time. I feel like it does a better job all around. I've found that this spray works really well when used to treat minor skin issues that may become infected, to prevent infection, also! Great for kids ochies - it really does numb painful/sensitive fresh & healing wounds. - NOT INTENDED FOR USE - In mouth, in eyes, or noses. Not effective on bruises, healed wounds, or dry scabs and scars. I like to use this product -especially as an analgesic, specifically effective on body and ear piercings that are struggling to heal properly without the risk of infection causing scarring in the area or Piercing. * The reason for only 4/5 ⭐️ stars: I bought a bottle of Bactine Spray while dealing with a reoccurring skin condition/infection. I noticed if I applied too much on one spot for too long a time (usually with a Q-tip) this product is strong stuff and if broken skin is overly saturated it can be soaked up into the skin and it can really bubble underneath, causing tons of uncomfortable inflammation, even to the point of stretching the wound wider open. Fair warning, I suggest wearing disposable gloves while using this product. . . just be careful not to drench, soak or overuse this product on concentrated areas of the body because of this issue. That being said, it is a very safe product, I recommend it 100%. It is super affordable! It is antibacterial, bubbles out infection while working as a surprisingly effective painkiller! I love this stuff. I hate when I am down to the last couple sprays. It makes the whole wound healing/treating process so much easier.

Bought for when I come in from yard work & stops itching quite well. The sprayer is real good so you can spray behind knees etc. I also use Benadryl clear gel in the tube but their spray has no power so did not buy again. Spray nice when you are losing your mind with mosquito bites. Recommend both products highly. If you run out of one you have the other.

Bactine has been a staple in my first-aid kit. It’s easy to use, provides quick relief from the stinging and discomfort of minor cuts and scrapes, and is especially handy when you need something quick and convenient. I also like that it’s easy to apply without making a huge mess. Definitely something I like keeping on hand for everyday little accidents!
