Hi, Thank you for your interest in Sticky Bumps. There is just one type of wax for basecoat. The basecoat is meant to be a hard wax for the temperature specific wax to stick to. First lay down the basecoat, then apply the appropriate temperature wax for your surf conditions on top. Your 5-star satisfaction is our #1 priority. You can wax your soft top just like a regular surfboard if you are looking for more grip. BaseCoat and then the Wax or just wax and no basecoat. And it smells divine!
