No. This is a MIDI adapter, meaning that it sends information about how the instrument it's plugged into is being played. This adapter and your sound bar do both use bluetooth, but they use it to send and receive different kinds of information. The MIDI/USB dongle can be run off either an AC power adapter or a battery pack. I get several hours of runtime from a backup phone battery.

No, not unless one or the other instrument can run a virtual midi App. An app needs to be used to make the virtual link. There is no connect button or function on the midi adapter.
