Bought this tester kit after I had to replace one plank of the wooden floor in my hallway and needed to stain the new piece to match the existing flooring. Having the different shades made it much easier to test the colours first and find the closest match without having to buy several full-size bottles. The stain was easy to apply, gave good coverage and dried quickly, and I was really pleased with the final appearance. The quality is excellent, and for a small repair like mine the tester kit is far more practical and economical than buying a large quantity of stain.

Very easy to use. Lovely colour and can be layered to get the desired shade. No harsh smell and quick to absorb into the wood. Highly recommend. A little goes a very long way.

This worked SO WELL. It was so easy to apply with a Lindt free cloth and made no mess (washed off cloth well). It has no smell and the wood worked it up perfectly. I opted for only 1 coat to have a natural look and finished it off with a furniture wax. Great value for money to turn a factory made item into a more vintage look. I barely used half the bottle on a whole chest of drawers so great coverage. Note I sanded the item down to its raw wood and I believe this is why it worked so well.

Love the quality of this wood stain. It has a thin consistency with excellent coverage meaning a little goes a long way, such value for money. The finish is beautifully smooth and drying time is speedy making light work of a big job. I prefer using a quality brush to apply the stain, however, you can use a sponge or rag to produce different effects too. I like the convenient sizes on offer too. The Furniture Clinic is my go to product for all my woodwork projects.

The 250ml bottle of dark oak stain that I received from Amazon looked as though it was second or third hand. Despite the seal being intact, the brown label was white around the edges, as though it had been handled a great deal before it became mine. There is no indication of production date on the label so I guess I'll never know the age of it. Despite this, the product was reasonable to use, though I had expected a darker finish after two coats. It was easy to apply and the colour is a nice cool-toned dark oak. Not sure if I would purchase again but I will use this up on a few small projects.

The long coffee table is of good quality wood. It’s about 60 years old and solid, so it was definitely worth restoring. The wood stain was very effective and easy to apply using decent sponge brushes and lint free cloths. Very pleased with the final outcome.

Product is fine but I felt is is a little weak and not very penatrative. I had a large area which had lost most of its colour. This product would be ideal for smaller touch up areas to bring back colour. Overall this is probably my misunderstanding of the product before I bought it but the details could be clearer. Most people would probably leave a 5 star review for the same so treat this as overcritical.

Con questo prodotto, il colore del legno è tornato vivo (rispetto ad altri che, dopo poche ore, sembravano "scomparire"). Prodotto consigliato: a breve proverò anche la pasta per il recupero dei tagli/crepe della stessa marca

Great product. Very rich color and easy to use. I have used store brands before but this was very good. If you’re not sure about the color choose something lighter because it does dry quickly and soaks in instantly when you don’t use a wood conditioner first which I never have. I only did one coat. I used it on unfinished pine and topped it with wax because I wanted more of a matte finish. I applied it with a sponge cloth. I’m still debating if I want to do black accents on my pieces so I may buy the ebony color next.
