I got these for my father-in-law, and he absolutely loved them! They arrived quickly and well packaged. He use them to bring his buddies during a golf outing, and they all got a good laugh!

It seemed like a fun prank, but it didn’t perform as expected. Not as loud as I saw on other reviews

These golf balls look like a regular ball with a couple differences. First of all, they have SOTAR in very large letters on the ball and that's it. Regular brands also have their brand name on them, but they are usually in smaller letters and then there is an index number (1-9) so two players with the same brand can keep track of whose ball is whose. Then the other thing is that if you look closely, you can see that it is two halves stuck together. There isn't a line - it's perfectly smooth in that sense, but you can tell because of the pattern of the dimples.In any case, I showed a friend and he said "After a couple drinks - they won't notice" so I gave him one to use later. I think he is right. Here in Minnesota it's still snowing, so I can't review what happens when you hit it, however you can youtube or tik-tok it and there are a few people who have videoed what happens. You get three balls in a package, so given the price it's a pretty good value. This will definitely be a funny gag that you can pull on your golf buddies.

These are something to get a laugh and are made just to that. The quality isn't the best look somewhat plastic and have large print that says Sotar on them. When use correctly and placed down for your friends on the green to put they work just fine.Serve their purpose for a cheap laugh.

I got these exploding ribbon balls thinking I would play a trick on my husband. I definitely had to make sure he didn't see or feel them so there was absolutely no just slipping it in with the regular golf balls and waiting for the fun to happen on its own.Let me tell you the main reason why. Golf balls don't rattle. Aside from the larger than normal font size, which, honestly could have been explained with a remark about being made for people with bad eyesight, they looked like normal golf balls, but when you pick them up something just feels.. off. If you are like me when something feels off instinct kicks in and you shake it. In hindsight it's a wonder the thing didn't blow up in my hand now that I think about it.. Anyway, when I shook it I guess the wad of ribbon inside is what I was hearing rattle around.So once I talked him into letting me tag along to watch him hit a few it was fairly easy to get him to let me set the balls up on the tee for him. The 4th ball in I set one of these up on the tee and stepped back to watch him take his swing. When his club hit the ball and all that ribbon came out the look on his face was priceless. He stood there looking around and it finally dawned on him what had happened and he started laughing too.These were great fun, but unless your loved one is oblivious these balls aren't going to fool them. So get creative!

I can see so many uses (regular putting, mini golf, driving range) for these Sotar prank golf balls. Although, they are sturdy but you have to make sure the person hitting it doesn't inspect it too quickly! The one we tried executed well, but I have to try to get a sneaky video next time so it doesn't give it away. This is a fun, different gift than the usual for the golfers in your life.

The three balls all were empty on arrival and had soaked the envelop. Had to open them and fill them with whatever I wanted. Better to sell them as empty.

I got these for my husband to prank his uncle when he takes him golfing. He is big on pranking. They went this past Saturday and he used it on him, he said that he slipped it in with his other balls. He said when they got to the 5th hole he pulled out that ball and when his uncle hit it with his golf club it exploded and the streamer went everywhere. His uncle didn't know what had happened all the while my husband is laughing so hard he can't even tell him it was a prank ball. But needless to say it was a success for the rest of the time. He was afraid he was going to hit another one of them, they were laughing about it for a while that day.
