Novogratz Tallulah Memory Foam Futon Couch Bed, Futon Sofa Bed - Light Green Velvet

I bought this sofa because it was super highly rated by a lifestyle blog called the strategist. The blog usually recommends very expensive luxury items but they said one of the writers owns this couch in pink and they keep getting asked where they got it. I got the "light green." I thought it would be mint. This couch is a gorgeous disney Cinderella pale blue with a hint of teal. I probably should have gone with the sage. I'm happy with it but people should probably know. If you've ever used a traditional futon before you know that they are a little bit more firm than a couch. This product looks like a trendy little velvet couch but it definitely feels more like a futon. The memory foam is nice and gives it a little but more give than a traditional futon, so it's more comfortable but not as cushy as a lazy boy. I did worry a little about it getting uncomfortable over time but I could feel coils and springs inside so hopefully that will help keep the product in good shape. I'm a "learning on the corner of the sofa" type of girl and I feel no dangerous give when learning at all. The product took about an hour and a half to put together. I am not very good with tools and was a little distracted while doing the job and I'm certain that if you're more handy you could do it in an hour or less. The most worrisome thing was that the arms for the couch were inside a secret zipped compartment in the base and I was really worried that they weren't there at all. There are also two different little wrenches included and it looks like one is a backup but it's actually a different size. I'm not sure why that was necessary. This product is light and you could probably move it short distances unassembled if you had a truck and it seems like it would be easy to disassemble. The fabric does not come off for cleaning and I am a little worried about how it will survive contact with my cat. It won't be passed on to my grandkids but it will probably last me a couple of years. The velvet is almost like a crushed pile and will show little patterns from where it was last touched or stroked until you smooth it down again. I would definitely buy from this company again if they branch out a little. Midcentury modern is not really my usual style but I like the color and texture and smaller size of this product relative to my smaller apartment. The product is not going to fool anyone into thinking I have a luxury furniture budget but it's cheerful and cute and sturdy enough that it doesn't look like dorm furniture either. If you want to save money vs buying a couch from Urban Outfitters that will be unfashionable in 5 years, this is a great choice.

I’ve had this for a couple years, and I still love it. Delivery was good for me, they just dropped it off on my porch and were super nice. It folds up into a rectangle, which has been so lovely for moving houses. I cannot emphasize how much this company has thought of everything. The arms of the couch fit into pockets on the underside of the seats. I was able to load it into an suv by myself with a little effort (I’m a not particularly athletic person). I had a short term apartment while taking a class out of town, and this was my bed/couch for a couple months. I was comfortable enough to sleep on it, and I didn’t have to rent a moving truck. It is on the firm side, but I thought it was fine. It’s now a nice little couch in my office that always gets compliments. My dogs also used it for a while religiously and it cleans up well with the bissel mini green. It’s not hard to assemble. It’s possible to do it yourself, but I would recommend having someone around to help you assemble it and move it. I was able to manage it by myself, but it was a lot easier the second time around when I had help. It’s also sturdy. I was worried that because it folds it would feel wobbly. It’s as sound as about any other couch. I realized I had lost some screws during the third move I put this couch through. I contacted customer support and they were very sweet and tried to help. I ended up finding the same screws at a hardware store the next day, so I didn’t need help. They did respond and were trying, which means a lot two years out from purchase. It’s why I decided to dig back and write this review. For the price, I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ve never found such a mover friendly couch at any price point. I think it’ll probably last until I choose to retire it. It still looks like the day I bought it after me sleeping on it for 2 months and 2 years of dog use.

I ordered this wanting an affordable, comfy but stylish couch that could double as a bed for extra guests or for when I want to get cozy in the living room. It is a nice soft velvety material and I actually really like the color (I ordered the blue). I would describe the actual color as a deep aqua. I put it together by myself in under 30 minutes! The legs are nice and study and the 2 back sections of the couch recline to a 45° angle and then all the way down. When you put it all the way down to use as a bed you can unzip the back of each side to find a fold out leg for extra support. This is a great couch for the money, my only issue with it is that it's not very squishy or comfortable to sit on if you're looking for that deep comfy couch that you can melt into. I would not call it "memory foam" as the description does because it's that firm bouncy type of foam that doesn't mold around your body like real memory foam does. From the look of it it's pretty obvious that it's not going to be the most comfortable couch but it's not bad. It is definitely not memory foam though. I might eventually get a big comfy sectional and put this sofa in the office as a 3rd "guest bed." Overall, a great buy, could be less firm but other than that I love it!

I was a little skeptical but figured for the price even if we got a year out of this sofa it would be worth it. This sofa is amazing!! Great quality for the cost, comes in a single box so very easy to bring into an apartment. Easy to put the arms and legs on. And the green colour is fantastic, a little lighter then the photos but I love it even more. Size was perfect for me and provided a large seating area than my 98” very bulky arm sofa which was 6” smaller in seating. Very streamlined and great use of space. Very happy with the purchase their were no issues, everything as straightforward and easy to assemble and the quality is fabulous. The seating is firmer which is great because my kids have been jumping on them and no issues with the seating or pillows. I will update with any issues but I don’t expect any.

I searched high and low for an affordable comfy futon and couldn’t make a confident decision. Since we needed one, this one was highly rated and although not 100% sold that I was going to like it — we went for it — and glad we did! Although I believe I paid more for this than I should have, I’m satisfied with it. It was pretty easy to put together. It comes in one large large large box, and removing it was pretty straightforward. Turning it over felt a bit uneasy but it was ok —- just make sure at least 2 of you to put together! The velvet felt nice, first velvet furniture I’ve had, and the light green color was a nice change for our small apartment. It is quite firm, but all of us have felt comfy takings a nap or a full night sleep in it so far. My son has even jumped up and down on it more than I would like, and it has held without sagging. So far so good. I give it 5 stars bc it met all my expectations. There are legs on the back of the seat when you lay the futon all the way back, and so far no tipping issues. Good luck if you decide to also get one!

The first thing I noticed is that it's a really nice looking futon and looks more like a couch than a futon, which is why we purchased it in the first place. I will say thought that the gray color in person is NOT as dark as advertised. My husband spent 1-2 hours to build this and was able to do it on his own. When we sat on it, we noticed it was very sturdy and first. However, over the past couple weeks, it has softened a bit the more we've sat on it. The futon folds out to maybe the size of a bed between a twin and full size mattress. We tried cuddling on it together while folded out and, when I leaned onto the side with the backrest laid down, we literally fell because the futon folded back up and fell on its side 😅 Suffice to say, don't lay solely on the tufted backrest part of the futon when it's laid down so that you don't fall too! The velvet fabric is a bit more sensitive than higher quality velvet products. My dog's long nails were very quickly visible on the futon, so we also bought a cover to protect it. Overall, it's a good and affordable futon. Just don't expect too much from it.

I spent way too much time shopping for a small sofa for my new much smaller space. I bought this particular sofa/futon partly due to the reviews the color (green) and it was also on sale. The box it arrived in threw me off because there was only one and it was big but not as big as I would have thought. The couch is hinged on the middle! Assembly was opening it, attaching the arm rests and legs. Super easy! The color was spot on with no surprises. The size was true. It looks great! The seat isn't deep but it's acceptable. The cushion is firm, but I find it comfortable. Putting the back down to make it into a bed is easy. I'm 5"11 and can stretch out without worry. I have slept on it and I can't complain. Not perfect but more than I expected I have been using it for almost three months and it's holding up great. I recommend a lint rake/defuzzing tool to smooth the fabric and in my case to also remove cat hair. The dog drool cleans up easy with a damp cloth as well. I'm glad I chose it.

We purchased this futon for our den so that we would have a place for guests to sleep. It is very soft fabric and is a beautiful color. I love the firmness of the sofa, though my son says it's too hard for him. The sofa itself is working out great, but it was the delivery that made me take a star off. We had confirmation of the date for delivery and my husband took off work. When the sofa didn't come, we called the delivery people. They had the nerve to send an email saying the client changed the date of delivery! I then called Amazon directly. The woman was helpful but basically tracked our sofa to another company that didn't get the sofa to the company that delivers it to us in time. As I was talking to the Amazon lady, another email popped up saying that we requested a different time. I think that them trying to blame us made me the most mad when we were sitting at home trying to figure it out! It did come the next day but the guy came, dropped it off outside and took off! He didn't even bring it in the front door! Love the sofa but don't know if it was worth the hassle of such a terrible delivery!

It's perfect love the colour and the size easy to put up not the comfiest but works for me as the price is affordable happy with the purchase quick delivery in a box will need two people two lift

Hab es für 200 Euro mit Versand bekommen im Angebot - sehr guter Deal. Sofa sieht sehr schön aus und fühlt sich gut an. Groß genug um drauf zu schlafen. Denke ab 1,90 wird’s aber eng. Ansonsten klare Empfehlung.

This gorgeous sofa gives my living room such a cozy feel. It looks absolutely beautiful in the space. I highly recommend it!

Es hat einfach eine komplett andere Farbe als auf der Abbildung. Ich denke man nennt es Himmelblau oder Pastell Blau. Auf der Abbildung ist es deutlich dunkler. Ansonsten weich, Aufbau war kompliziert. In der Anleitung steht drin das man das Sofa nach dem Aufbau nicht schieben, sondern nur noch tragen soll.

I almost purchased this same sofa from Wayfair for double the money. So it is good value for money but I expected more. It does look nice but that's the only positive I can give it. It's very firm and uncomfortable, will certainly need a topper of some sort if you wanted to sleep on it. It's also much lighter in colour than the picture suggests and mine came with a small hole on one corner. The support legs look flimsy and I can't see them lasting if you were to use this as a bed often. The only reason I'm not sending it back is its in a spare room and will see little use.
