I realized that dirt was coming in from the bottom of the front door. There was a gap that would get a tiny draft and dust would come into my house. I was also having ant issues during the summer when the LA heat was insane, and ants would somehow be able to crawl through the tiny gap of the door. These two issues were driving me insane and I needed a cheap solution asap. This door sweep is PERFECT. My floors aren't as dusty, and the ants cannot penetrate the bristles of the sweep. I also love that when the door opens and dust does come in, the door sweep acts as a broom and pushes dirty right back out. I also have cats so it also helps sweep cat hairs that are around the front door where my pets like to hang out. It's easy to remove the cat hair too which is nice. It also keeps my house warmer during the winter time so cold air isn't coming in from the front door. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is slightly interested in getting this product and has any doubts. This is the worth every damn penny I spent. It is a brush, so it's not air tight. But if your floor is uneven, this would be the proper and maybe only choice, because it wouldn't get stuck on the floor and hold the door. This works great and is far easier to open and close the door. It still is stiff but so much better. The only complaint is that after a week of opening and closing the door the sweep started to slide out of the channel in the aluminum bracket. I had to take a hammer and tap the ends to create a stop that would not allow the brush to slide out.
