Verse 90% Dark Chocolate Squares, Coffee, High Cacao, 2 Pack

This is a very good dark chocolate if you actually like real dark chocolate. It’s rich, smooth, and has that little bit of natural bitterness that’s supposed to be there with 90% cacao and coffee flavor. Nothing artificial or too sweet — just clean, deep cocoa with a nice coffee note. The medallions are bigger than I expected — not a full bar, but definitely not small. One piece feels like a proper treat. Sure, it’s not cheap, but for this quality and ingredients, it feels fair. Just know that if you’re used to milk chocolate, this will taste more intense — but that’s the whole point. I like that it’s simple, pure, and satisfying.

Absolutely horrendous!! So gross & bitter. Sad I wasted my money....

If it was any larger it would be just too much as dark as it is. Honestly I use these small flat pucks in my beef stew- it adds great flavor without making the stew taste like chocolate. Also a perfect size to put on parchment, melt a little bit and put anything on top like pecans, mini-marshmallows, sprinkles or whatever you want.

Won’t buy again. Coffee flavor distant come through and they are bland.

I used to love Verse chocolate squares until they just recently added agave syrup, which I have heavily researched for years and come to the conclusion that it is is NOT healthy at all (it actually promotes insulin resistance and is worse than sugar for health and weight management). These chocolates were already over-priced for the simple, minimal ingredients, and now I would rather just make them myself so I can avoid agave syrup. They now taste very odd, like a chemical or artificial sweetener with an unpleasant aftertaste and even less of the flavor they are supposed to have. I will no longer be buying these.

I’m using the high cacao content chocolate as a nutritional supplement, I chose the coffee flavor for extra personal enjoyment. I also use simple baking chips out of a bag, but the advantage of these is portability without melting in the pocket. And the flavor is better in my opinion
