Real straw (not paper straw); interior headband enables it to fit all sizes without being loose; ventilation good but not too porous on top (in case of sprinkles); tie down strap is easy to remove and restore, but only maybe needed for very high wind (due to interior headband); no loose straw ends that poke you in the scalp (which interior headband also ensures); good size of brim; good value/decent price but, alas, it does come from China.

Low quality straw + weaving.
Did not like it! After wearing, handling for 2 days, the straw weaving on the brim started breaking and falling apart, had to glue it back but other areas started to break apart!

Pretty functional, Not too durable, probably won't get you many dates from women.
I purchased this hat at the start of the summer to keep the sun off my neck and face while kayaking. I also ended up wearing it to the beach a couple of times too.Pros:-Low cost-Light weight-Keeps the sun off of your head, face, and neckCons:-Cheap materials ( the neck-strap and band are fake leather)-The head-band on the inside is a little tight (I have an average sized head... I had to cut it out)-It started to deteriorate after a couple months of useOverall I would say this product is ok. It does its job, but it looks a little cheap. Don't buy this if you want a hat to last you a very long time or if you are trying to make a fashion statement. If you are looking for a sunhat for a summer or two (maybe?), this product could be the one for you.

Love the hat, hate the way they shipped it.
Love it. Elastic band inside keeps it on except in strong wind. Then I can use the chin band. Very comfortable and good air flow. My favorite hat. I took one star away because in shipping it was damaged. They put it on a box with another heavy item and it rolled around and broke the brim. Second hat Ive purchased through amazon that was damaged that way. Love the hat though. Just looks a little like a Huck Finn hat. Sent a complaint to Amazon and kept the hat.

If you have a hat size larger than 7 ⅝ this will not fit you
I love the had style, however I have a large head 7 ⅝ so the hat is a little snug on me.
