how green are these? do they contain chlorine or chemicals, how do they perform against baby's skin?

The packaging doesn't list any specific materials, so I can't answer whether they have chlorine or other chemicals in them. They definitely don't have latex, and they don't smell at all like chemicals. My daughter has super-sensitive skin and has not had any reaction at all.

Do these have adhesive on the 'down side' (like a maxi pad) or do they just sit on top of the regular diaper? Do they shift or move overnight?

There is no adhesive. I think this is better, since extra urine can pass through the pad directly onto the diaper itself. We just position the pad inside the diaper, a little towards the front since our daughter tends to sleep on her tummy. It stays in position great. Just make sure the diaper comes up over the pad when you put it on. They work great!

Do you recommend going up a size in overnight diapers to accommodate the pads? My son is in a size 5 and the size 6 is huge!

I started using this with the size 3 diapers that we normally use for my baby. I never had a leak, but I noticed the diaper was barely fitting with the pad, so I decided to buy size 4 diapers to use at night. By themselves, the diapers are too big for my baby, but with the pad the diapers fit perfectly. No bulk; not loose. So, based on my experience, I would definitely recommend using the next size diaper when using the pads.

How does this hold up in an overnight diaper with poop??

Just fine! My babe doesn’t poop every night overnight but on the occasion that he does I’ve had no leaks, no breaks in the booster pad. These things are the 💩!

They work!

I tried these for my 2 year old tummy sleeper who was leaking through his overnight diapers nightly. These have completely stopped the leaks! I wish they were a couple inches longer as they give him a bit of a wedgie in order to keep them high enough up front. And they are a bit expensive, but have saved me lots of time in having to do laundry... and worth it for my LO to have a good, dry sleep.

No more leaks

If you have a baby or toddler, that soaks through the nighttime diapers, I highly recommend these diaper inserts. I wish I found these sooner. They are super absorbent and not too thick. Perfect for overnights. We don’t have issues with gaps. It fits perfectly into any diaper(make sure you get the right size). No skin irritation whatsoever. Of course, no leaks!
