A corrective brace that works for a good price
I have Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) Disease, which causes a lot of imbalance, high arch, pain, drop foot, and more. I took a chance on these braces (both left and right) as an affordable option to the ones youโd get through an actual doctor (which are custom fit and extraordinary, I myself just havenโt gone yet). Prior these braces I clomped quite a bit and my feet would tire out so fast that Iโd have to sit and let my feet relax for a few minutes till I got back to walking. Theyโd be so weak I couldnโt lift my feet to walk. After the braces, I can still feel my feet being tired (thereโs no escaping that), but I can keep walking without worry of my foot dropping and messing up my walk. (Granted my walk is still messed up, but thatโs from my condition.) When I push my foot forward and release, the brace immediately brings my foot back into place. I even try to drop my foot behind me as I walk o purposely trip myself, and the brace prevents it. Itโs actually pretty remarkable. They fit in my lightweight boots perfectly without trimming (size US Men 10.5), but I did take out all inserts (the initial insert I had already removed and replaced with a dr scholls insert). I do have corrective plastic heel molds, to which I slid into the boot on top of these braces and they fit just fine. I keep both the brace and heel insert in full time, and just take my foot with sock on out. I canโt really say just yet how the front half of my foot is going to feel walking on plastic all day after awhile, but so far itโs just slight discomfort toward the end of the day (like any shoe really). The portion that goes up your thigh, I would recommend high crew socks or just under the knee socks. The top edge of the plastic does rub, but thatโs expected. There is no padding, which honestly I donโt think it needs it if youโre wearing socks. Virtually unnoticeable in pants, incredible. The Velcro (generic hook and loop) is okay, thereโs extra so be sure to trim it up. Theyโre held on with some glue, the one already came off. But honestly thatโs fine: I intended on replacing them with black straps anyway. I wasnโt sure if the bottom strap was really necessary, but Iโve come to like it. The top strap is a must. All in all, Iโd give these a 4.9/5; with that .1 being the very very inconvenient strap issues. The fit, they WORK (the main point), relatively comfortable and unnoticeable, and are a bargain. Even if they loosen up / wear out / break, Iโm willing to buy them again because theyโre a deal. Miscellaneous context: 6โ 0โ male, average build, 185 lbs, 10.5 US menโs shoe, physical activity and exercise level 6 to 7 out of 10, CMT Disease. Real review, not a bot or paid. Hopefully this helps others out.

Cheap Product
Cheap brace. The velcro straps are held in place by a double sided tape, which lower strap came off on the first use.

Works well as an AFO.
Thank you soo much. OK, so I'm a retired surgeon. I'm 75 and developed a right foot drop from Anterior Tibialis Tendonitis compartment syndrome 11/24. I have loss use of my right peroneal nerve. I have been struggling with walking due to the foot drop after about 1-2 blocks. I received this AFO today and walked over a mile with complete comfort and stability. I enjoy walking again. OK. So adjust this AFO as needed. If you're getting this, you have some mechanical skills. Put your foot fully in the AFO and mark the end of your toes. Use scissors to trim the end. File the end to make a taper. Place the AFO in your shoe, then place your foot in the AFO and attach. It works fine. Thanks.

Not perfect!
This is not the first drop foot brace I've ordered so I know what works. The positives include being lightweight and thin - so it fits into my sneakers (which I wear a full size bigger than used to for the braces.) The negatives include having the heel too narrow so it rubs after wearing for a while. Also, there is no padding on the plastic that goes around the back and sides of my calf. I ordered adhesive foam, very thin to accommodate this. Overall, even with the negatives, this brace works and that is what matters the most.

Right foot
Not for big calves

Comfortable
Seems to help my drop foot. After a day of wearing , I needed to put a small strip of moleskin on my Achilles tendon where the brace slightly rubs when walking. Seems to be working quite well and a lot cheaper than a custom-made ankle brace.

CAREFUL...POTENTIAL INJURY
For two days this brace did a good job on my drop foot. However on the third day when I unraveled the velcro strap. a 2" X 2" piece of flesh came off my leg with it. I bleed all over the carpet and finally wrapped the wound with gauze and hoped for the best. I am in the 3 rd week since the injury and still await the raw flesh to heal. I've applied antibiotic cream and have been wrapping it in hopes that it will not became infected. It still stings like hell, but does appear to be slowly healing. My leg swelling has gone down a bit also. So sorry everyone to have to prepare this review. The product is well made and stable and for the first day or two was great, but please Mr. AFO, design some other type of fabric strap so your other customers don't possibly go through what I have gone through. I suppose when my leg completely heals, I'll try the brace again and be sure that the velcro doesn't touch the skin, and cover the leg with a fabric first before installing it.

Great brace for dropfoot
At first glance looks cheap. However, it has been a really great brace & helps me better control my dropfoot. It is very lightweight which is a big plus to me. Just needed to figure out it's best to place in shoe then put the shoe & brace on then adjust the straps. The fit was perfect.

Lightweight, trim to fit, good support
Pros: Lightweight Trimmable to various sizes Good support around calf and ankle Cons: Velcro should extend further for better fitment Velcro had to be trimmed to avoid coming loose Ankle and calf support points should have foam supports.

Plastic foot form very satisfactory , Velcro straps are a very slopy .
Straps slopy fit as you can see in photo . The hook portion should be also on the entire strap so the loop can attatch and secure the extra length of straping. Poor design or just cheap cost cutting design
