poor signal boost compared to a Netgear extender which I had to buy to replace this trash. Constantly dropped signal and required a different SSID to operate meaning you have to manually switch between your 2 networks.

Easy to install. I'm at the end of the add-on on the back of the house and wi-fi does not get to me. So my Netflix was buffering and freezing all the time, I couldn't use my Notepad and my cell phone was as slow as molasses, even though we installed another router in the room next to me, but further to the backyard. I bought this great priced little "extension" -- it arrived today. Installed in under half-hour. We kept waiting for it to connect, and it finally did. So now instead of the two routers in my house, under my "wifi-list" it says, one of the Wifi names but it added .ext to it. So I now just connect to the Extension version of that Wifi name. Now my notebook comes right up, so does my cell phone and now I can watch Cable movies with no more freezing in the middle of the movie or buffering so long, that I don't even get the movie at all. Love this little thing. Buy one. You will NOT be disappointed. I should have done this a long long time ago.

Had a little trouble setting up.But it seems to be working okay

I have mesh network at home and it works pretty well throughout the home but my Teslas parked outside were getting very weak signal. My older Tesla onky supports 2.4 Ghz signal and that was very weak so I bought this range extender to boost it and plugged it in near the basement window. Setting it up was a breeze, took less than a minute from phone. It has range extender mode and AP mode but doesn't have a bridge mode, which I wish it had because then I could have used it as a wireless adapter for devices that have 2.4 Ghz wifi but have a LAN port. It creates a new SSID with -ext in the name so you can differentiate but grants the IP from my mesh network DHCP. My car is now always connected to the wifi and I don't worry about updates getting stuck due to weak signal. Overall a cost effective, plug n play solution for extending range of wifi. I would recommend it.
