Is the case actually stainless steel? or is it plated resin (or something else?)

It is NOT repeat NOT Stainless Steel. I also have a "California Hazardous Materials" leaflet in it. Somebody on here said they have been buying thesew watches for years so it must be stainless steel. NEWSFLASH... I have a Timex Stainless Steel Case Watch with MINERAL CRYSTAL GLASS. I bought it in 1988 and it is now 2016. I STILL have it and the glass has not a scratch on it. This seller is falsely advertising!!

Anyone else have trouble with band coming apart while wearing it--unless you wear it tight on wrist??

I have been wearing Casio Wrist Watch for a number of years fairly tight but the band never came apart. Wearing wrist watch band tight or loose ought to be your choice and it should NOT come apart. Perhaps you should consider contacting Casio Co. or a local watch repairer to find out why it happens.

What is the fit like? Is it small like F91 or bigger like w800h?

pretty much the same size as the f91

Can the bracelet on this watch be replaced with an aftermarket bracelet? I would like to put a different style metal bracelet on it.

This watch is not designed in such a way where the band could be easily removed or replaced by the user. We cannot comment on whether a band from another manufacturer would be usable with the watch.
