Best Soda-Style Sparkling Water—Great Taste, Low Calories, and Convenient Subscription
I have subscribed to the Liquid Death Classic soda flavor 12-bottle pack, and this is the only soda-style sparkling water I drink now. My family has started drinking it too because Liquid Death really nailed the flavor. It tastes very close to real soda, but it is still sparkling water with only about 10 calories. It feels like a healthier option with cleaner ingredients, and it is not overly sweet—just the right balance of sweetness and fizz without that strong artificial taste. I also really like that it’s convenient to order on Amazon. The subscription option makes it even easier since it can be delivered regularly without needing to remember to reorder. It’s especially helpful because carrying 12- or 24-pack drinks from the store can be heavy and inconvenient. All the flavors we’ve tried so far have been enjoyable, and overall it has become a family favorite in our household. If I had one wish, it would be to see a 24-pack option and wider availability in stores like Costco, plus even more flavor choices in the future. Overall, I really love Liquid Death sparkling water—it’s tasty, refreshing, and very convenient to have delivered.

If it says “BALL” buy them all. (If you know, you know)
I have been a fan of Liquid Death as a brand since I saw their first promo video in like 2017. Then around 2019/2020, I found a can at a store for the first time and even though it’s just water, it tasted better than any bottled water I’ve ever had. Maybe it was because it stayed colder longer due to being in a metal can, maybe it was just in my head or maybe it really is better. Which reason is true I don’t care and decided it was going to be my go to beverage. Then the flavors came out. Grapefruit, Lime, Watermelon, Orange and Cherry. All sooo good!!!! Then in the Spring of 2025, it all went to hell. As if the switching to the majority of the cases I was buying from 19oz cans to 12oz wasn’t bad enough, they decided to add Stevia to their drinks instead of regular sugar. The taste difference INSTANTLY hit me. I hated it. Apparently I wasn’t the only one because there was a storm brewing online with people hating all over them. I wish they would have made it into a lite or a diet version. Idk. Think of something but don’t ruin a great thing. Thankfully there is a way to tell if you find the cans out in the wild. Next to the bar code, if you see “BALL” you know it’s one of the good ones and definitely should buy it. Take a look at the pictures of the Gravefruit cans I bought. These are still available on Amazon as of January 2026 so thankfully not all hope is lost.

Finally—A Soda That Doesn’t Make Me Regret My Life Choices
It’s not exactly root beer—but it’s close enough that I can enjoy it without questioning my life choices afterward, which is a win. The flavor has just the right amount of sweetness to feel like a treat without being overwhelming. It’s not sugar-free, so just know that going in, but compared to regular soda, it’s a huge improvement. I can drink a couple of these and still have less sugar than one can of the usual stuff. Also, the branding is just fun—somehow grabbing a Liquid Death makes me drink more fluids, which feels like the most metal way to stay hydrated. I’ve tried most of their flavors and they’re all solid, but that Lemon Lime one and “Dr. Death” are probably my favorites. If you want something that scratches the soda itch without the sugar overload, this is definitely worth it.

Real Tasty Sparkling Water from Artisanal Sources
I just received 2 cases of the variety pack. The flavors will not disappoint. The carbonation is immediately recognizable. I asked Alexa where the water was obtained from. I know that originally it was made from the water in the Alps. This is the reply: The Liquid Death Soda-Flavored Sparkling Water is manufactured by Liquid Death, a U.S.-based beverage company. However, the product page doesn't specify the exact water source or where the cans are produced. For detailed information about water sourcing and manufacturing location, I'd recommend contacting Liquid Death directly through their website or checking the manufacturer details on the back of the can. What I can confirm is that the product uses carbonated water with natural flavors and is packaged in infinitely recyclable aluminum cans. So, I asked Google's Gemini: Liquid Death sparkling water is sourced from underground artesian mountain springs in the United States, specifically located in Bland County, Virginia (bottled at the Wilderness Mountain Water Company facility) and Custer County, Idaho.Key Details About the Water Source:Transition from Europe: Originally, Liquid Death was exclusively sourced from the Austrian Alps.US Shift: The company permanently transitioned its source to US-based locations to reduce its carbon footprint, utilizing natural underground sources that share a mineral profile similar to their original European spring.Quality & Environment: The Virginia source is a 3,300-foot deep artesian well at the base of Flat Top Mountain, surrounded by national forest lands.Depending on regional distribution and can size (such as multipacks or individual tallboys), your can will list either the Virginia or Idaho location. I love the fact that it is natural spring water and that it comes in totally recyclable cans instead of plastic. These features make it well worth the extra money.
