I have purchased several qubo smart outdoor cameras for my house. There are several pros and cons in my observation. Pros 1. The cameras can be connected with wifi. Only one plug needed as power source. Less wires means less clutter. 2. Cameras are smart. Includes Personal detection and motion detection. Stores normal recording in SD card and motion or Person recording in Qubo server. Even if one losses SD card the recording will be safe on Qubo server which can be accessed from qubo app 3. In free subscription qubo allows live view. In paid subscription qubo allows recording of videos from multiple cameras. So no NVR is needed. Qubo gold subscription starts from 99 rs. 4. In the price point it is pocket friendly. Can be purchased in cheaper prices during sale. 5. It is 3MP and 1296p. So the video is clear with more details. Cons 1. Though the cameras smart and includes motion and person detection it occasionally captures motion and person. Several times it misses Person and some times detects even a dress as Person. Very sad 2. It needs a SD Card inserted to start cloud recording. The reset button is reachable to any one near the camera. 3. Though it takes good clarity videos the lower side/angle of the camera not taking good picture. Lower side produces flickering and pixellation issues which is irritating. I went for a replacement of two cameras which also not helped. 4. After power cuts the cameras facing wifi connection issues.Also 5 ghz wifi not supported, only 2.4 ghz wifi is supported. If there is a wifi connection issue we can't access any video in the SD Card. 5. Though it is budget friendly, there are installation costs for users if they need installation. SD card, wires, plug and some other materials are needed for cameras to function. 6. No pan, tilt and Zoom function in the camera. 7. The app is laggy. The description says only android and ios version is available. Still there is no android TV app available at this moment. So one can watch 1296p video only in mobile phone or tab. I have tested screen cast in TV but I am not happy with the video quality on TV. Whenever I closes mic in the app the app hangs and I have to exit and re enter the app to use it once again. Conclusion The camera is best suitable for those who are looking for budget friendly camera installation and wifi connection. The description says Lan connection is there. But I have not tested the feature. I purchased the cameras, because of cloud recording support. This ensures some safety for our recordings. At this price point cameras are very useful as it do the functions of basic cameras and a plus point is it it also gives tracking features. So you can choose as per your preference. I also request the manufacturer to solve the hardware and software issues to bring the product to market leadership. This is my first review for the product after one week of use and try to post update after some more days of use.

I have installed this camera on my house gate door and is running fine so far. Planning to buy another one. Pros - - The camera has a very good field of view, much better that expected so can monitor a big area. - Video quality is also very good and clear. - Till now there is no disconnection or restart of the camera required and is working continously for the past more than a month. Not setup or wifi issues. - I have a 256 gb card installed and is not even half full after a month. - The cloud storage options are affordable. This is an important consideration while buying a security camera for me. Though have to buy a different cloud storage for each camera. There should be multi camera cloud options too. - Intruder alarm system is useful. - Camera lights turning on detecting movement when dark is also very good. Some issues with the camera - - Reset switch is outside so anyone can reset the camera using a stick - Unlike other cameras in this you cannot zoom into the recording timeline for finer scrolling of video. Very difficult to move to start of video when recording is short. - App cannot be installed on rooted phones / custom rom - The zones don't work at all it will keep recording and give alerts even if the object is far away from the set zone. - I have the camera to record on detecting movement and sensitivity to lowest but get notifications for plant leaves moving, shadows, sunlight, flies and even the hour time changing on the camera video even when it is outside the set zone. - If set to only person detection recording it misses out on some recordings when people come in its view, which my other camera records. - While browsing through recordings it should should some different color to know where it recorded a person. Very difficult to find what I am looking for. - I installed the app on a tab to sometimes see live view but it stops showing live after a few minutes with a play button on top. This is unexpected. Should be able to see continous video. - The events list where it shows person or movement detection is very short and sometime there are multiple entries for same event. Is should show atleast 1 full day's events. - No option to share camera with other family members. You need to share your id and password for the app for others. So don't use login through Google option but create a login id and password - There should be an option to play video at 2x, 4x, 8x also

I bought a total of six Qubo cameras (3 Bullet, 2 360-degree, and 1 Video Doorbell), thinking it would be great to have a single app managing them all. Unfortunately, the software experience has been a disaster. 1. Setup Nightmare – Even the Pros Struggled The initial setup was a pain, even with a professional handling the installation. Despite paying for installation, even the expert had to contact Qubo customer support to work around setup issues. To make things worse, because of how Qubo manages SKUs, they treat multiple items as separate purchases—meaning no bundled installation or streamlined process. 2. No Continuous Recording – And Cloud Subscription is a Joke A mandatory SD card is required for recording, even if you have a cloud subscription that explicitly mentions cloud recording. What’s the point of paying for cloud storage if it won’t work without an SD card? This makes zero sense and defeats the purpose of having a cloud backup in the first place. 3. Software is Unreliable – For a Security System, That’s Inexcusable This is the biggest and most unacceptable issue: the software just doesn’t work consistently. Frequent app crashes and infinite loading screens make accessing cameras a struggle. Switching between cameras takes ages, making real-time monitoring impossible. Today, I discovered that all my SD recordings are inaccessible due to a bug, despite the SD card being installed and functional. For a security system, reliability is non-negotiable, and Qubo fails miserably in this regard. If you can’t access footage when you need it, what’s the point of having these cameras at all? Final Verdict: Not Worth the Money I had read online reviews and assumed this would be a good purchase. I was wrong. The constant connection issues, laggy app, and terrible user experience make this system more of a liability than an asset. If you’re considering Qubo, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There is one silver lining and that's the hardware. The camera's night vision and picture quality is solid. Build quality seems good and it can handle harsh weather. If only could use some other software to run this impressive hardware.

This is an utterly pathetic product. It doesn't even have a built-in hotspot. It randomly resets itself out of nowhere, forcing you to factory reset the camera and stand in front of it holding a QR code—which it can’t even scan easily! Most SD cards don't work with this camera at all, and the ones that do keep getting corrupted repeatedly. Even high-speed cards with 190 Mbps read/write speeds get corrupted over and over again. To put things in perspective: I use a Tapo camera at home, and an SD card that smoothly handles 4K recording in my car's dashcam can't even run continuously for two days in this camera. The quality is absolute garbage. There are no software updates and no proper tech support. Whenever you call customer support, all they do is give useless advice like, "Sir, try using a different card instead of that one." Giving it 1 star is only because it's required; otherwise, I wouldn't have given it even that.
