SUNVELLA SunPure Non-GMO High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Pressed-Unrefined (Pack of 2 x 33.8 FL OZ)

I really wish this was a glass bottle instead of plastic. I transferred it to glass when I received it as the bottle is a bit flimsy. It's good oil, and it's cheaper than what I've been buying at my local natural foods store. But it's not quite as good as that oil which is also a local product. My primary use of sunflower oil is salad dressing so I still prefer my local product. The Sunvella oil does have a bolder sunflower seed flavor, however. That's not necessarily what I was after, but it's an important consideration for some. This would be a good backup oil for me if I can't get my local brand.

I grew up using sunflower oil, which happens to be a hard oil to find in the US. I was excited to find this on Amazon, and read a lot of reviews before ordering. Well... Great flavor, cooks well or use in salad. Haven't used it long enough to give 5 stars, but seems like a good product.

This sunflower oil lasts longer and taste milder than any other sunflower oil that I have tried. Usually I buy it in small quantities because it has so often gone rancid before I have used it all, but with this brand, I go ahead and buy a litre knowing that it will keep well, and taste good. Top quality oil and processing - hope I can continue to buy it for years to come.

The oil does not have a very good shelf life, but the taste was good. I will not order it anymore because I like that the products are very fresh.

The company originally sent wrong item but very fast corrected their mistake and sent me the right type of oil. The oil is just what unrefined sunflower oil is supposed to be ! it smells like lightly roasted sunflower seeds, very natural and I have been looking for this kind for years. Salads smell divine! ! Just what I am used to during my childhood in europe. I will continue buying this brand.

So, first off, High Oleic Sunflower oil is extremely tasty, and good for you- it's what your body is craving, but doesn't know it- I've made homemade chips with it. My girlfriend(not normally a chip person) has bugged me every other day for a month, trying to get enough chips to satisfy the craving. And it's pretty clear it's the oil she's after.Her response is typical- people mill about/flock to them at parties. I've yet to have someone dislike them. If you are on the fence/interested in trying the product, you really should.Now for the bad/why it's 1 star:I received rancid oil on my first bottle from Sunvella and wrote a 1 star review to that effect. I've since ordered more, from a variety of supplers: both Sunvella, and the other non organic supplier(forget their name atm) have issues with rancidity. They'll send oil well before the use by date, but rancid non the less, The organic ones with the cute small bottles I haven't had any trouble with,Nevertheless, despite the trouble, I've been going with Sunvella, as cute small organic bottles cost a fortune, and just taking the loss when it's rancid :( .So why still the 1 star? Given that I'm going with Sunvella, and you should too? Cause someone stalked my Girfriend about my original review. Seriously- look at the attached image. It's really creepy.(Give me 6 months of non rancid, stop being creepy, and I'll start bumping things up. You deserve it, don't screw it up.)

Tried some SunPure on fresh salad and it was nice delicious and delicate sunflower flavor - not heavy or smelly at all. Was surprised how light and not greasy. This sunvella will be a great to use instead of olive oil now and than to change it up a bit.Also googled a recipe and made some homemade mayonnaise with it. Came out so great. And healthier than what you get in store. Highest in MUFA than olive oil. Understand the best mayo in Europe is made with sunflower oil.
