Bose Soundlink Bluetooth model 404600 Working like lt should. The old battery needed charging about every 5-6 hours so I figured a new battery was in order. I keep the voulume on the speaker at 100% and adjust the volume through my iphone, ipod touch, ipad or any other of several mp3 players I have. You will need a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the screws on the back cover and battery. the battery came with a small phillips screw driver which was useless in this case, in the screwdriver drawer with it. I have been playing music from my iphone for 2 hours now on the original factory charge and the recharge light has not come on. You do not need to worry about charging the lithium battery if it is only partially charged but is not recommended to leave it charging all the time. the only hassle I had was getting the back to come off, after removing the screws I used a spudger to help it along. slide the back toward the bottom of the speaker and then lift up.

Worked as described and was satisfactory. Installation was a breeze and the charging speed was about what I expected. Battery life is not great, but for the cost it was adequate.

Perfect fit. Although it should have came with a small tool to make insulation easier.

I bought my Bose SoundLink Mini v1 way back in 2013 not long after they first came out. We don’t crank music all day every day on it, but we do use it most days at least some. It’s easy to use and has rich, full, room filling sound for such a small unit. In short, we love it. The SoundLink Mini’s original battery lasted until June 2026. After that, the original battery would no longer take a charge at all. Because the speaker was so old, I was reluctant to invest in a new battery to try to fix it. But given that a similar quality replacement speaker was going to be a couple hundred dollars or more, and the price of this replacement battery was only $27, I thought I would give it a shot. Hey if it didn’t work out, it’s Amazon: I’d just return it! Buying this replacement battery was a good decision, at least so far. Replacing the old battery was a super easy job, but it does require a Torx T8 driver tool which I had, but I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t. Through several charge/use cycles since I installed it, the replacement battery is performing as I hoped it would. A full charge runs the speaker at low/moderate volume for several hours. But of course, your mileage will vary. Frank Sinatra and our other music are restored to their former glory.

Battery worked for all of four weeks. Attempted to use the Amazon app to get to vendor for a warranty replacement only to be told this was purchased from Amazon and to go through them. Instead of a warranty replacement Amazon is extending the return window and I have to fine a box to pack the battery in and send it back. Now a new battery needs to be purchased and until that comes in I am without a laptop.

The item was delivered on time and in good condition. Fit perfectly in my Soundlink III speaker and seems to hold a charge. I have only had it a couple of weeks so I can’t say anything about it’s longevity.

This battery brought back my Bose Soundlink Mini to life! I was so close to giving up on it, thinking it was experiencing bluetooth issues*, and I am glad I have this battery a try. I know these days you can buy a new speaker from another brand for the price of this battery, but the sound quality of an old Bose speaker is incomparable. Plus, this was the first Bose I ever owned and I didn't have the heart to throw it away. Battery life seems pretty good, I would say about 5-6 hours at very high volume. Replacing the battery was a breeze but be ready to have a TH8 screwdriver handy, as it is not included. * In case you wonder, the speaker would connect and suddenly lose connection making a funny noise. This happened even if the speaker was connected to power, because apparently it only draws power from the battery (no pass through).

My laptop can finally be mobile again. For the longest time I had to have it plugged in because the battery wouldn't charge. Now it does!
