Great for Ferns
These really work. Used on ferns while away a couple of weeks. Kept them watered and looking great.

Great for Reducing Watering Frequency, Especially for Trips
These have been working great so far! I’ve been testing them ahead of an upcoming trip, and I’m pretty impressed. I’m in Southern California and have been monitoring them over a 4-day period in May. This is how full the glass bottles have stayed after 4 days. The water usage seems reasonable, and they’ve kept the soil moist, especially when I water the plants before inserting them. While I originally bought these for vacation use, I plan to keep using them daily to cut back on having to water every day. www The soil isn’t soaking wet, and it’s hard to tell exactly how much water is being released, but my plants look happy and healthy—not underwatered at all. During the peak summer months, especially with thirstier plants like tomatoes, there could be some limitations. But even then, using these for 2 or 3 days instead of watering twice a day is a big help. So far, so good! I may buy more and would definitely recommend them.

They work!!!!
I bought these spikes to cover the watering of my plants for a trip, as they are intended. The order arrived quickly, with Prime, and in new condition (no marks on the box, shipping damage, etc. The box was much larger than I expected since I hadn't much thought about the actual size. Each spike is about six inches tall and maybe 2 inches in diameter, and you get six of them in this pack. The mouth of the spike is open for use with a bottle you supply and fill with water. We tested the product before the trip, as the manufacturer recommends, to ensure we could set them up appropriately (and not come home to dead plants). In the end, the watering spikes were a (plant) life saver and, as a result, economical by saving me the trouble of replacing or nursing my plants. We initially used a 1 litter soda / tonic bottle, which 1 litter gave us about 3 days or so of watering; a larger bottle or multiple stakes per plant would be needed for a week-long trip or longer. But, the spike can also fit a wine, or 2-litter, bottle for more capacity and would likely even accommodate a 3 litter soda bottle. During our trip and pre-trip test, the watering spikes were providing water according to the plants needs as the moisture in the soil evaporated; we accommodated for the duration of our trip with the size of the bottle, based on our test, and the spikes worked adequately. When we returned home from our trip, my plants were alive and well!!! I was ecstatic with that, so they certainly worked well enough for me. I cannot compare the watering spikes performance to the drip / siphon or other methods since I've not yet tried them. But, I will use these watering spikes again (likely with a larger bottle, especially if leaving for more than 5 /6 days), and I would recommend them to keep you plants from being thirsty. Enjoy!

Works well.
Good quality. After buying these, I purchased a cheaper 10 pack from a different company and they were no good (too thin). These are sturdy and thick and I have purchased 2x.

Very helpful, especially in hot climates
I live in Texas, where it’s usually a struggle to keep plants watered appropriately during the hot months. These stakes have been very helpful. They work as advertised, although you must keep a few things in mind: the size of the pot, the capacity of the bottle, and the level of heat/sun exposure. I’m using the stakes in a few different configurations. I have a lime tree growing in a large container. I put two stakes in that one, each loaded with a 750-mL bottle of water. My tree seems happy so far, though I still will want to give it a good soaking at least once or twice a week in the summer. I have a rosemary bush in a 12-inch pot with one 750-mL bottle, which seems to be working nicely. Rosemary likes slightly drier soil, so the stake is great because it lets the plant self-regulate. In smaller pots (6-8 inches across), I am using one 500-mL plastic soda bottle in each because the bottle is lighter. A full inverted wine bottle could tip over a couple of the smaller pots, but the half-liter bottles work fine and have lasted 3-4 days in hot weather and partial shade before needing to be refilled. I don’t have to worry anymore that my tender herbs are going to get sun-crisped because I skipped watering for a day. All my plants are outside, but I imagine the water would last at least a week if these stakes were used with indoor plants. The little tools that came with the stakes don’t seem extremely durable, but they were fine for digging a hole in the potting soil for the stake to fit in.

Great watering device!
Works great. I’ve only used in potted plants and the stakes kept my plants watered while I was out of town for 10 days. I used two stakes for a large outdoor potted plant in a location that receives six hours of direct sun. I thought I would only use when I would be out of town, but they work so well so I only need to check on water level about once a week. The stakes were packaged well and arrived in tact. Based on other reviews, I did soak the stakes in water before inserting in the soil to prevent breakage.

The product is made of terracotta, but too highly priced. The delivery was way beyond the indicated date

Llegaron en buen estado, me han sido super útiles para mantener hidratadas mis plantas, fueron más grandes de lo que imaginaba, lo cual para mi fue una grata sorpresa.

I ordered these after looking at several different watering products. I struggle every time I go away with finding a solution to keeping my plants watered so I thought I would try these. I was gone for a month and came back and my plants were beautiful! They are clay fired so you do have to be careful with them. I did break one putting it into some hard soil. I pushed it in a little too hard and it broke. I filled up a full wine bottle, and the trick is to lay it angled, not straight up and down. I have since recommended them to several people I know. And I will continue using them.

After reading a lot of reviews on various water bulbs and water stakes, I thought I'd give these a try. They are not the cheapest, but I'm VERY happy with them, and worth the money. We have an area on the other side of the pool that is really bare, and I've tried various potted plants there to brighten it up, but due to it not being an easy area to access, the plants always die. I use 1 ltr drink bottles with these stakes and my plants are now thriving. Easily recommend them.
