I came down with a nasty bout of H. Pylori after the holidays and it really was debilitating. I felt awful, bouts of nausea, my stomach hurt most of the time, and my bowels had strange cramping sensations. My doc put me on one round of triple antibiotics, but it didn't kill the H. Pylori off though it did help. After doing some research online I decided to give mastic gum a try. I bought Logic Nutra's vegetarian brand because I have a beef allergy and their capsules aren't made with gelatin. I've been taking Mastic Gum now for 2 1/2 weeks and I've noticed a big difference. I started off by taking two 500mg capsules between breakfast and lunch, did that for two weeks, and now I've added an additional 500mg capsule between lunch and dinner. I noticed a positive difference after one week. So far I feel much better. I have more energy, more strength, and can think much clearer than I could before. At this point, my stomach is still sensitive and I have to stay away from spicy foods and things like vinegar and sauerkraut, but I feel so much better. The difference has been pretty amazing.

My step father has had ongoing stomach pain for the past four years. It started with acute pancreatitis. But ever since then, he's never been the same. This was suggested by my naturopath for healing my severe, slightly bleeding esophagitis. I have used the capsules and I open up the caps into a small amount of room temp water, allow to thicken slightly, and then swallow. It has been very beneficial to ease my symptoms (even early esophageal cancer.) This product was even suggested by my ayurvedic healer, since I am all about natural protocols. Wish there was just a form of bulk powder instead of my opening up the caps to add to the water. I am still on my journey of healing but will continue to use this along with many many other herbal remedies and anti-cancer protocols till my adrenal shutdown is again fully functioning since I really don't use conventional allopathy. I can't do without the healing and coating abilities of this product. Healing cancerous tissue takes time, and this allows the healing to take place better than anything else I have found. I highly recommend it. And Pure Nutraceuticals is a wonderful company to work with.

Better than the actual mastic "gum" rocks.

If you have chewed Mastic Gum granules or use the capsules by opening and mixing the powder with water for drinking (that is how I do) you certainly know Mastic Gum has a very specific and original taste. I bought this brand because it offers more quantity for less price. Step 1 - I opened the bottle... absolutely no smell.. not a good sign :-( Step 2 - I emptied the contents of one capsule in a cup and was surprised that the quantity of powder was much less compared to other expensive brands. (less than 1/3). Step 3 - Most important ... the powder doesn't taste like Mastic Gum. It has a slightly sugary taste!? God knows what is inside those capsules. At this point I realize... I have been deceived. I trashed the entire bottle ($ 20) I wonder who wrote those 5 star reviews !?! Will stick with the expensive Mastic Gum brand I was using before.
