Ich muss sagen ich bin ganz glücklich. Als ich es ausgepackt habe dachte ich: Mein Gott ist das klein, aber ich muss sagen für knapp 13 € bekommt man hier richtig was geboten. Sandvik 12C27 ist nicht der schnitthaltigste Vertreter seiner Gattung, aber für den kleinen Stachel echt eine gute Wahl, da zäh, rostträge und leicht zu schleifen. Dezenter Hohlschliff mit sehr sauberer Schneide. Eine tolle Geometrie für die Größe. Das schneidet auch bei nachlassender Schärfe lange zuverlässig. Die Klingenform ist schwer einzuordnen. Modifizierter Droppoint, dezentes Reverse Tanto, Sheepfoot Hybrid. Schwer das einzuordnen. Am ehesten vielleicht vergleichbar mit japanischen Messern, da gibt es ein sog. Kaisaki. Eine Art Schälmesser, welches auch zum Herrichten kleiner Fische benutzt wird. Für den Alltag des europäischen Bürohengstes jedenfalls sehr gut geeignet. Ein Apfel hier, ein Kabelbinder da. Mal Briefe, Schnur, Pakete, Plastikband um das Kopierpapier oder kurz den Bauplan am Alulineal trimmen. Läuft alles. Für ein EDC in der Stadt praktisch. Von der Höhe etwa wie ein Zippo. Passt perfekt in die kleine fünfte Jeanstasche. Die Klinge ist absolut symmetrisch und sauber verarbeitet und bei mir auch klasse zentriert. Rasurtest ab Werk bestanden. Wie gut die Wärmebehandlung war, muss sich noch zeigen. Durch die sehr neutrale Form des Griffs, trotz der kleinen Größe, doch eine gute Handlage bei 2,5 Fingern und Handschuhgröße 9. Das G10 ist sauber gefräst und leicht texturiert. Keine Hotspots, keine Grate. Der Slipjoint ist klasse. Strammer als ein Victorinox, aber gut gängig. Das gibt ein doch recht sicheres Gefühl. Der Walk and Talk ist satt, das macht Freude. Mit Pin zum Schutz der Klinge beim Schließen und Halfstop. Richtig viel Messer(chen) für das Geld. Ich würde es wieder tun.

Also ich schreibe nicht oft Rezessionen, aber dieses Messer ist wirklich der absolute Wahnsinn. Günstig, sehr scharf top verarbeitet kein Spiel bei der Klinge oder dem Scharnier, das Finnisch sehr sauber gearbeitet und extrem hochwertig für dieses Geld. Fünf von Fünf Sternen.

Great little knife, almost too little. If this knife were scaled up a half inch larger, it would easily replace my everyday carry knife. As it sits, this is a a two finger knife. And almost requires a short lanyard for extra purchase. This knife came hair popping sharp. The hollow ground blade slices extremely well, and the edge is easy to sharpen. Great walk and talk. Firm snap at the half stop (or 1/3 stop in this case) Fits well in an Altoids Tin if that’s your thing. I use this knife for opening boxes and cutting paper, so the sharpening choil can get in the way.

This is my first knife from this company and they knocked the ball out of the park! I'm not a really big fan of non-locking knives because locking folders are so common but this one has such a stiff action that you don't feel at all as if it's going to close on you and I can open it with my thumb and I don't have thumbnails whereas slip joint knives I have to use a coin in my pocket to open the blade to have something to grab the nail notch with. I'm really digging this knot I put it with a Tops whistle that comes if you've ever bought a Tops knife you'll understand the size. Yeah this knife is functional and useful and it really does sharpen well. I'm probably going to buy a second one, the one with a black blade.

I love this little thing. It's like having one of those Swiss Army Gentlemen's Knives, but you can actually cut with it. The modified Wharncliffe style blade is perfect for the kinds of utility style tasks you do with a knife this small. The action is a little stiff, but that's probably for the best for it's size. The micarta is suitably grippy and the edge retention is about what you'd expect for the blade steel. I like that I can pull it out for a task without too much fuss being made, but it still performs those tasks admirably.
