UPDATE: I have received a full refund from the manufacturer because the device didn't work for me. So while it didn't work - their warranty is legitimate and I feel that earns them a 5* as it's a safe product to get and see if it works for you and you'll get refunded if it doesn't. That's as fair as it can be for any product. I bought this with high hopes as I know the theory behind the product is sound - if you can get your jaw to stay forward more, it will open up the airways and decrease or eliminate snoring. This product requires you to first heat it in warm water to precise specs. It tells you a specific temperature but gives you a little disc that changes color as well. Oddly, the disk and the water temp (using a very precise temp gauge I have) were not equivalent. The disc took 8-10 degrees more to turn color than what it should have according to the instructions. Once it's warm, you put it in your mouth to have it shape to your teeth. This process isn't so easy if you gag easily as I do - I was gagging a lot every time i tried it but I did get a mould eventually. It fit fairly well it seemed to me. Upon trying to use it at night - it would make a noticeable difference as I lay in bed. No more half breaths - I could just breath easily. But i did have this bulky thing in my mouth - which was weird. Finally I drifted off. And I slept quite good for two hours but that's when the isssues happened. I started to gag so I took it out... from then on I couldn't put it back in and get it to work. It never wanted to "separate" it just stayed closed and I coudln't breath through it at all - it basically stopped working and made breathing impossible basically. So I had to remove it. The next night I also got a few hours of good sleep - but then it just popped out of place randomly and I started choking on it a bit until I spit it out. Then I tried putting it back in and the same problem - totally unable to breathat all. It's like it locks closed after being in for a while. That night I took it to the bathroom, washed it thoroughly with water and then tried again... but it simply wouldn't stay in... it wanted to stay closed and would keep slipping off my teeth and making me have to sit up to avoid from choking on it. I tried remoulding it to see - but so far this mould is even worse and hasn't worked at all. If you can get it to fit your teeth well and it doesn't slip off - it really does seem to work. But for me it unfortunately doesn't work at all, it makes my night worse as I'm choking on it, messing with it, etc instead of sleeping. I am going to have to investigate the return process unfortunately. Hopefully it really is returnable as it isn't cheap and simply doesn't work for my mouth.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and tried the masks unsuccessfully for many, many months. My doctor suggested a mouthguard but the special dentist wanted to charge me $2,000! NO, thank you. Research led me to this guard. The video is very helpful to help you set up the best fit. I had to reheat my top fitting piece, more than once, so be patient. And it took a while to find the right strap that fit in the best possible way. Although the guard is comfortable, more comfortable than I thought it was going to be. It still required adjustment. I spent the first night with it in my mouth for 5 hours without being able to fall asleep. I kept trying and failing and was beginning to think this would not work for me. But it was suggested that I gradually adjust to the guard instead. So I made it a point to wear it for different periods of time when I was doing housework or laundry etc. it took almost 2 weeks before I was able to comfortably fall asleep with the gaurd in my mouth. I am glad I did not give up on it. It has changed everything. I can't remember when I slept so well. My husband is thrilled that there is no snoring during the night and I apparently move a lot less, which we think might be related. I'm amazed at how refreshed I feel when I wake up. I don't wake up tired even on nights when I don't sleep as many hours as I would like. I still feel wonderful. And unlike other guards, I don't have to worry about the product causing TMJ or messing with my bite, all together because it's so gentle. I'll never buy another mouthguard. This thing is amazing!

I've been at my wits end trying to find a product that actually helps stop my snoring and hopefully aid with my mild sleep apnea. I've tried SnoreRx, Airwaav, tongue retention devices, wedge pillows, and none of them have provided me significant results like the Somnofit. Here's what I have to say about it: 1. The size is smaller, has space for your tongue, and overall more comfortable than other mouth guards. I can actually keep it in my mouth without gagging on it compared to the SnoreRx. 2. The band sizes make it much more consistent and symmetrical compared to other mouth guards that use a squeezable positional incremental setting. 3. It does indeed take some time to get used to and is also crucial that you start from the lower tolerable sized band and work your way up day by day. I initially tried size 1 and didn't find any improvement in my snoring reduction. I gave up and assumed it wasn't going to work, but luckily I tried again a month later with size 2. I was shocked at how little I snored, but it didn't fully eliminate it. Finally a day later I tried size 3 and I didn't snore a peep. No need to use higher level bands and endure additional discomfort once you've found the perfect level. 4. The molding process is very crucial. The instructions are fairly clear and the material allows for a couple of re-attempts. I was not fortunate enough to get it exactly right. The top mold is slightly loose while the bottom mold fits snug but is a bit too tight. It's molded decently enough that it won't fall out of my mouth, but it does cause a bit too much pressure on my lower front teeth which normally goes away within 20 - 30 minutes after waking up. However, I have to say that this is a significantly better experience compared to other devices that leave my jaw and tongue in pain for days after use. 6. Customer support is extremely prompt and helpful. They were kind enough to provide me with a replacement set after I let them know the particular issues I was having. They also provided additional information and tips in order to properly mold and trim excess material. To summarize, the product does work and it works extremely well. Just take a look at my Snore Score I recorded. I honestly don't feel comfortable sleeping without it anymore. I'm hoping with the replacement set, I'll be able to mold it properly so I don't experience any discomfort. Then I'll look into buying an additional one to bring along when I'm traveling or not at home. It does take a bit of time to get used to, but it definitely gets a lot easier within a couple of days. Note: Ignore the devices used in the screenshot, I had gotten sick of trying to track the various alternatives and left them on the screen after nothing worked for me, aside from the SomnoFit. My "after" snore score should honestly be 0, but it's catching the sounds of the cars in the background driving by in the night and once morning came. I always review my camera footage the morning of to see how I was sleeping when it spikes, but found that I didn't snore a single time even when I was flat on my back whilst I was using the mouth guard.

First, I will say that, yes this thing actually works! I was skeptical about it too. And I know some people are thinking its a 150 bucks, I know I was. That's a lot of money if a product doesn't work. But take it from a from a person who has been snoring for 10 plus years and now has high blood pressure issues. This item is legit. That being said, one of the few down side that I can see is that if your a mouth breather like I am some times. The way this thing fits in your mouth, it doesn't allow you to breathe between the two pieces. The fit together really well. I added to tiny bumpers on each side of the bottom of the top piece. Imagine a pea cut in half and glued to the bottom of the top mouth piece. Like tiny fangs sticking down. Now there's a tiny gap between both mouth pieces I can breathe through if I need too. I can still close my mouth and the effectiveness of the device is still in place, but now I can breathe through my mouth if I have to. Thats why i gave it 4 stars. I am dreaming at night again! I forgot what it was like to reach REM sleep and wake up not feeling drained. My wife says this thing is a god send. P.S. I only said what I did to my mouth piece as a idea of what to expect Not to say, do it. Its a risk to alter your device and I do not recommend it.

I went to my PCP in March with the thought I may have sleep apnea. She set me up with a sleep team appointment in early June (a few weeks ago) and I took a take home test. They said I have moderate sleep apnea (15-30 apnea episodes in an hour) and now I have a follow up with a sleep specialist in September to go over my results. Not even to get fitted for a CPAP. I bought this mouthpiece a few weeks ago and legitimately have been getting my best sleep in years. I don't necessarily have more energy, I just feel less tired and wake up able to piece together thoughts BEFORE I have my caffeine, which is new. Sleep is a superpower, I guess. The molding process was straightforward and easy and the different size straps are very useful while you figure out which type of bite you have. I do wake up with some jaw discomfort, and can't eat anything right away in the morning while I wait for my bite to settle back (since this intentionally gives you a significant underbite to prevent airway collapse common in people with sleep apnea), but honestly, I just have a protein shake to get something on my stomach, and that is usually fine. My wife says she hasn't heard me snore in a few weeks, which is great for her! This is pricey, for the average person, but in my opinion, worth every penny. I would buy it again, for sure!

I have had snoring and breathing issues for many years. Many years ago, I had a mouthpiece made by the dentist to attempt to address them because they didn't recommend a cpap (not that I would have wanted one). It isn't very good. Like a huge hockey puck that has this thing that juts out from the bottom to try to keep the jaw from falling back. An epic, and expensive fail. As time passed, my snoring went from occasional and "not that loud" according to my husband, to being bad enough that he often needed to sleep in the spare room to actually get some sleep. He has a dangerous job, and I don't blame him! I addressed all the things I thought were causing it, lost over 40lbs to get to an ideal weight, exercise near daily, and eat well. But a good night's sleep still wasn't happening. I just kept getting louder, waking up more often, and never feeling as good as I thought I should. I always felt tired no matter how many hours of sleep I got. More recently, I began thinking that the loud snoring was part of the issue. I got a sleep app that records (suffice to say that's not a top 10 hit), and sadly, some of my apnea sounds get notated as being "animal noises" REALLY? Actually, I laughed pretty hard, I see how it might think that and it's better than it thinking it was a fart! Anyhow. In my rabbit hole of research, I was between a couple of devices I thought might help me in my quest for more quiet, restful sleep. In the end, my gut steered me to the Somnofit-S. Something about the company drew me in. I didn't use my HSA on it, but the fact that you could lent credibility in my opinion. I am not normally the person who opts for one of the most expensive options, but how do you put a price on feeling your best? I knew it was a small company, and I was glad to place my order to support them. The reviews as far as their guarantee, removed any concerns I might have had; besides, I was very optimistic! It arrived and seemed well-made. I followed the directions and looked up videos on YouTube to make sure I did the molding correctly. I was pretty sure I did, and it was farily easy to do. I don't have an over or underbite, but the suggested level 3 was way too aggressive for me to start with. I started with 1 for a week or so, then 2 for a few days and they were fine. I got up to level 3, where I have been. My app confirms the instances of my snoring are far fewer, and when I do, they aren't nearly as loud. My husband agrees. I feel a little more energetic and I am getting more deep sleep than I was getting before I used the Somnofit-S. But I am still snoring more than I would like, and believe I can get up another level that would happen. However, getting to level 4 is where my progress has stalled. I contacted customer service for advice and did remold the top tray. I tried easing into the number 4 over, but it was causing me too much jaw and teeth pain that was lasting for a good part of the day. I tried again (like it's a video game!) but couldn't even make it through the night without ripping it out of my face. I went back to level 3. It's reasonably comfortable for me there. I can close my mouth when I use it. It's still a little thick, but not NEAR as thick and bulky as the one made by the dentist. Seems my jaw REALLY wants to fall back. I'm pleased with the progress so far and didn't want to give up so I emailed the Sat. after Christmas in the evening to see if there was any other advice, or maybe I needed to try to remold the trays. I didn't expect a reply at all until today let alone from a co-founder! Chris very kindly addressed my concerns, even offering a full refund. He is genuinely invested in helping my snoring issue. I can't say I've ever felt more valued as a customer as I do with this company. Their attention to customer service is the best I've encountered. I am adding their pillow at Chris's suggestion that it might help me to obtain my optimal sleep if I'm unable to tolerate the next level. Even if that doesn't quite work, I am still absolutely thrilled at the improvements so far. I feel confident I'll get there. I'll update once I have the pillow.

I have long suspected I have a mild form of sleep apnea after a home sleep study a few years ago revealed “upper airway resistance syndrome” or UARS, But when I did the in-lab study my oxygen levels were normal, which is common in UARS. I have long suspected something was wrong because I am always sleepy and never feel refreshed no matter how long I sleep. After research, it turns out UARS doesn’t usually cause oxygen levels to drop, as the airways narrow but never fully constrict, but your body still wakes up partially, called micro arousals, and these can cause the same unrefreshed sleep and daytime fatigue as the more severe sleep apnea since your body exits deep restorative sleep every time your airways narrow, even without them shutting. I’m currently working with a sleep doctor to get to the bottom of it, but in the meanwhile decided to see if I could test my theory by buying this device, which moves the lower jaw slightly forward, similar to a mandibular advancement device. I noticed a dramatic difference after night one that has persisted. I started with band 3, which seems perfect for me, and that night I slept 9.5 hours instead of the 11-13 hours I normally do just to be able to barely function, AND I felt rested. The next night I slept 9 hours then 8, now I’m averaging 7-8 hours of sleep each night feeling FARRR more rested than I ever did on 11-13 hours previously. This has been a miracle and given me back so much time and quality of life. It did take a few trials of molding to get the fit right and stop any pieces from cutting the inside of my lip by trimming off the excess material, but after that and some dental soreness with my back teeth the first few nights, I got used to it and no longer have pain. I do wish it was ever so slightly less bulky, as sometimes I do get a slight gag sensation, but I also have a over-sensitive gag reflex from acid reflux which could be part of why. But the device is well-made, durable, comfortable, and well fitted. The instructions are incredibly thorough and helpful for getting started, the company leaves no stone unturned. Overall, I am highly impressed with this device, and customer service is top of the line, downright phenomenal. When I reached out to inquire about replacement bands since mine had stretched a bit after a couple of weeks enough to reduce the effectiveness, customer service was extremely helpful and promptly responsive. The customer service manager, Robert W, said he would send not one but my first THREE replacement bands free of charge with expedited shipping and even sent me complementary sleep patches which contain all natural sleep aid ingredients like magnesium, melatonin, and hops to promote restful sleep, wonderful as a chronic insomniac. That was so above and beyond and truly made me feel valued as a customer. I took my first one tonight, easy to apply, no pill to swallow and I can already feel myself getting sleepy almost within minutes, can’t wait to update this review once I’ve done the patches for a couple of days. This has been a Godsend and just confirms something was going on all along as I had always suspected!

I have been using MAD’s for many years. I recently tried all devices that worked also with the mouth open after using a puresleep for many years as it stopped working as wel as it had been. I found the Somnofit to be the most comfortable and initially effective device of all that I tried. The low profile plastic strap is the key to comfort as there is no hard plastic on the side of the device for mandibular advancement. It allows mobility and provides mandibular advancement initially. That strap is also the biggest problem with this device. The company says it lasts for a year but I can tell you if you use the #5 strap it significantly stretches and dramatically loses its effectiveness for me in 5-6 weeks. I think the graduated length straps is great for initial use but if you want and need the max advancement from the beginning be prepared to change the strap every month. I have contacted the company a couple of times about this. This strap is the key feature and the key flaw of this device. They need to make a firmer more substantial #5 strap and sell just replacement #5 straps maybe in a 3-5 pack and also let users know that the device clearly loses effectiveness with time. I added photos to show the strap actually lengthens but also takes on a curved morphology and you can see with the new and old strap on my device that there is significantly less advancement of the lower jaw. This strap is 5-6 weeks old. A replacement set of straps is only $11 on Amazon today and I may continue with this device with monthly strap changes. I can tell you that my wife complains and my SnoreLab scores can go up from under 20 to 100+. I am trying all my other options I have on hand right now to see if any come close to a Somnofit with a new strap but by I did order a new set of straps as well and may well continue with it with regular monthly strap changes. I see a lot of very positive reviews for this device but I can’t believe other users that are using the #5 strap haven’t seen this happen.

Adquirí esta guarda para ver si me ayudaba a disminuir los ronquidos, y en mi caso si los disminuyo considerablemente. Utilizo la app de SnoreLab para ver resultados. No es la primera guarda que utilizo que empuja la mandíbula hacia enfrente, pero si la más cómoda ya que trae varios niveles de ajuste mediante unas correas de plástico intercambiables. Les recomiendo ver el video de como moldearla utilizando agua caliente, ya que, si tiene su proceso, pero se puede moldear hasta 3 veces. El precio es elevado, pero me ayuda a dormir mejor…vivo solo y mis ronquidos no molestan a nadie, pero esto hace que no me levante con dolor de garganta en la mañana y tengo menos cansancio durante el día. Les recomiendo tambien utilizar una almohada que eleve bien su cabeza, ya que esto ayuda aun mas a que la lengua no se vaya para atras de la garganta... con almohada delgada me ayudo yo creo en un 50%, con almohada gruesa yo creo un 95%
