Okay, so I NEVER leave reviews, but I really had to for this one. I've tried a couple of other mouth guards and HATED them. They were bulky and left me all drooly, and fell out as soon as I fell asleep. But I was finally at the end of my rope, my watch was alerting me to possible apnea, and was feeling exhausted all the time no matter how long I was in bed. Even I could tell I was snoring myself awake when I tried to take a nap in the middle of the day. So I had a discussion with ChatGPT, of all things, which recommended this product. It was twice what I'd spent previously, but I figured it was this or an CPAP machine, and it had a money-back guarantee, so what did I have to lose? I followed the instructions. Watch the video all the way through for sure, it's full of helpful information. It was cooler in the house, so I should have used the "boil an additional 20 seconds" guide for fitting. I had to redo the top mouthpiece, which made me nervous because you can only redo them three times. But I got what I thought was a good fit, and tried it that night. First night: slept for a couple of hours, then my teeth were hurting, so I took it out. Second night: slept all night, but my teeth were... tender? The next morning. BUT! Holy cow did my sleep apnea chart show a major difference! The thing basically eliminated my snoring. At this point, I didn't care if it shifted all my teeth, but I was also pretty sure that's not how it was supposed to work, so since they stress that if you have any trouble, you should contact customer support, I did. On a Sunday. I didn't expect to hear back for a couple of days, but I did that same day. I got several helpful things to try (go down a size on the straps, redo the molding process), and they said not to worry if I had to mold a few times, they could send replacement molds so I could get it right. This thing has a LOT of ways to adjust, so it really can take a bit of time to figure it out, but I think that's also why it works for so many people. It's really well thought out, and the straps can both/either position your jaw and/or just keep your mouth mostly closed, which I think is half the battle for me. Amazing customer service. Definitely reach out to them if you have ANY problems. They were quite responsive and seem to genuinely care. I've fiddled with the settings a bit, and think I'm almost there. Really, you're supposed to use it a couple of hours for a few nights before you sleep to let your jaw adjust, so some of what I'm doing wrong is user error. But knowing that I can NOT snore is too tempting to pass up. As a side effect, my husband, who is a terrible sleeper, got three consecutive days of "perfect sleep" on HIS watch, because "someone" is not tossing and turning next to him due to being snorted awake 90 times a night. So it's like a two-for-one product! I've attached the graph of my sleep disturbances. You can see the last four days, where I started using the mouth guard. This this really is the silver bullet I was looking for. For me, it's comfortable enough that I can sleep with my mouth closed, lips closed. It does not make me drool at all, but I know that's not the case for everyone. Seriously, if you're at all wondering, you really do get what you pay for, and this thing is worth is. The Somnofit mouth guard was recommended by my dentist instead of him building a customized dental appliance which would have been a lot more expensive. The company shipped it very quickly and it arrived within 2 days after the order. It was well made of high quality materials. The instructions were easy to follow and also gave a web address to a video that clearly showed how to set up and fit the device and trouble shoot any problems. The good news is that it worked! I had considerably less snoring and slept much better. The bad news is that my lower jaw was out of alignment when I woke up the next morning and it took about 10 minutes before it returned to normal. The same thing happened each night, except that my jaw remained out of alignment for a longer amount of time each time I used it. I stopped using it after a week and a half as my jaw didn't return to normal until noon the next day. I took a break for a week and the snoring returned. I then tried using this mouth guard again. It again stopped the snoring, but the jaw mis-alignment happened again and, this time, my teeth also began to become sensitive and hurt. I went back to the dentist and he said that the above experience meant that I wasn't a good candidate for a dental device and the tooth sensitivity was starting to happen because of the pressure I was putting on my teeth while wearing it. Some people just aren't able to tolerate these devices and continuing to use the mouth guard might cause tooth movement or more severe dental problems so he recommended that I stop using it. He said that he has some other patients who have used this snore guard and they have had great results with it and it works as well as a custom device he could fabricate which would cost a lot more. I notified the company (SnoreLessNow) of my experience and they sent a refund the next day. Really wish I could have used this. The SnoreLessNow company was great. No issues at all with the return. Just sent them an email with my order number and information and described what happened and they immediately sent the refund.

I've noticed a significant improvement in my snoring since I began using this mouth guard, far more than any other OTC remedies. Though if you're anything like me, I would recommend it only as the very last resort before going the doctor/insurance route (custom mouth guard, CPAP, etc.) There are many cons that, would I have known would be an issue for me, would have made me reconsider this purchase. Firstly, the molding process is agony if you have sensitive teeth. Eyes watering, pounding on the countertop agony. Next, the mouth guard is fairly uncomfortable if you have a wider mouth and/or larger jaw - it's so uncomfortable for me that I constantly spit it out while I'm sleeping. Lastly, if I manage to keep the mouth guard in my mouth all night, I wake up with dull achey jaw pain that lasts for hours - sometimes all day until I have to put the mouth guard in again for bed. And sometimes tooth pain accompanies the jaw pain. Sure, the sleep is much better, but is it worth being in pain all day? I'm rating four stars because a lot of these seem like *me issues* and not necessarily issues that would affect most individuals.

I have long suspected I have a mild form of sleep apnea after a home sleep study a few years ago revealed “upper airway resistance syndrome” or UARS, But when I did the in-lab study my oxygen levels were normal, which is common in UARS. I have long suspected something was wrong because I am always sleepy and never feel refreshed no matter how long I sleep. After research, it turns out UARS doesn’t usually cause oxygen levels to drop, as the airways narrow but never fully constrict, but your body still wakes up partially, called micro arousals, and these can cause the same unrefreshed sleep and daytime fatigue as the more severe sleep apnea since your body exits deep restorative sleep every time your airways narrow, even without them shutting. I’m currently working with a sleep doctor to get to the bottom of it, but in the meanwhile decided to see if I could test my theory by buying this device, which moves the lower jaw slightly forward, similar to a mandibular advancement device. I noticed a dramatic difference after night one that has persisted. I started with band 3, which seems perfect for me, and that night I slept 9.5 hours instead of the 11-13 hours I normally do just to be able to barely function, AND I felt rested. The next night I slept 9 hours then 8, now I’m averaging 7-8 hours of sleep each night feeling FARRR more rested than I ever did on 11-13 hours previously. This has been a miracle and given me back so much time and quality of life. It did take a few trials of molding to get the fit right and stop any pieces from cutting the inside of my lip by trimming off the excess material, but after that and some dental soreness with my back teeth the first few nights, I got used to it and no longer have pain. I do wish it was ever so slightly less bulky, as sometimes I do get a slight gag sensation, but I also have a over-sensitive gag reflex from acid reflux which could be part of why. Overall, I am highly impressed with this device, and customer service is top of the line, downright phenomenal. When I reached out to inquire about replacement bands since mine had stretched a bit after a couple of weeks enough to reduce the effectiveness, customer service was extremely helpful and promptly responsive. The customer service manager, Robert W, said he would send not one but my first THREE replacement bands free of charge with expedited shipping and even sent me complementary sleep patches which contain all natural sleep aid ingredients like magnesium, melatonin, and hops to promote restful sleep, wonderful as a chronic insomniac. That was so above and beyond and truly made me feel valued as a customer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth Every Penny I owned a custom snore guard from my dentist that cost around $3,000, and it worked very well for me until the acrylic cracked in less than a year. It had to be sent back to the manufacturer, and I may have to pay for a replacement depending on the warranty. While waiting, I purchased the Somnofit-S, and honestly, I have been extremely impressed. In terms of reducing my snoring and helping me sleep better, it has performed just as well as my much more expensive custom appliance. The fit is excellent. The upper and lower pieces stay securely on my teeth all night and don’t come loose. The adjustable bands keep my jaw comfortably forward, and the device has been surprisingly comfortable to wear. The only downside—and this isn’t unique to the Somnofit-S—is that any mandibular advancement device can change your bite temporarily overnight. My $3,000 appliance did the exact same thing. To correct this, I use an A.M. bite aligner (morning repositioner) after I wake up. My dentist originally provided one with my custom appliance, and I highly recommend using one if you’re going to wear any mandibular advancement device regularly. It helps return your bite toward its normal position. If you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a custom oral appliance, I genuinely think this is an outstanding alternative. I can’t say how long it will last, but considering my expensive custom device cracked in under a year, I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one. For me, this has been one of the best purchases I’ve made for improving my sleep. I highly recommend it.

UPDATE: I have received a full refund from the manufacturer because the device didn't work for me. So while it didn't work - their warranty is legitimate and I feel that earns them a 5* as it's a safe product to get and see if it works for you and you'll get refunded if it doesn't. That's as fair as it can be for any product. I bought this with high hopes as I know the theory behind the product is sound - if you can get your jaw to stay forward more, it will open up the airways and decrease or eliminate snoring. This product requires you to first heat it in warm water to precise specs. It tells you a specific temperature but gives you a little disc that changes color as well. Oddly, the disk and the water temp (using a very precise temp gauge I have) were not equivalent. The disc took 8-10 degrees more to turn color than what it should have according to the instructions. Once it's warm, you put it in your mouth to have it shape to your teeth. This process isn't so easy if you gag easily as I do - I was gagging a lot every time i tried it but I did get a mould eventually. It fit fairly well it seemed to me. Upon trying to use it at night - it would make a noticeable difference as I lay in bed. No more half breaths - I could just breath easily. But i did have this bulky thing in my mouth - which was weird. Finally I drifted off. And I slept quite good for two hours but that's when the isssues happened. I started to gag so I took it out... from then on I couldn't put it back in and get it to work. It never wanted to "separate" it just stayed closed and I coudln't breath through it at all - it basically stopped working and made breathing impossible basically. So I had to remove it. The next night I also got a few hours of good sleep - but then it just popped out of place randomly and I started choking on it a bit until I spit it out. Then I tried putting it back in and the same problem - totally unable to breathat all. It's like it locks closed after being in for a while. That night I took it to the bathroom, washed it thoroughly with water and then tried again... but it simply wouldn't stay in... it wanted to stay closed and would keep slipping off my teeth and making me have to sit up to avoid from choking on it. I tried remoulding it to see - but so far this mould is even worse and hasn't worked at all. If you can get it to fit your teeth well and it doesn't slip off - it really does seem to work. But for me it unfortunately doesn't work at all, it makes my night worse as I'm choking on it, messing with it, etc instead of sleeping. I am going to have to investigate the return process unfortunately. Hopefully it really is returnable as it isn't cheap and simply doesn't work for my mouth.

I hope my review helps someone desperate to find a temporary solution until a medical one becomes available. I developed snoring over the years. Now, at 38, my sleep apnea is severe, so much so that I was scared of going to sleep and dying through the night. I would wake up and wake up others, wake up at 3 am completely thirsty, chest pain, tired, drained, my brain hasn’t been functioning well for so long that I’m scared of losing my job. I got to the bottom and decided to sleep on my recliner chair in the office because I didn’t want to wake my son. I decided to buy this after seeing some ads. The price is high, but we buy so much trash, and this is my health. I have used it for 2 nights so far. On the first night, I saw some improvement in my results with the Snore Lab app. I woke up with the guard out of my mouth, so I don’t know how long I slept without it. The second night, my snoring dropped a lot. I was so happy to see the results. I think the guard is not comfortable, but it is doable. My upper gums are where I feel most uncomfortable. I’ve tried different strings, but I still think it's not 100% adjusted. That’s why I don’t think it's perfect yet, but I’m seeing results from the first, so I’m happy. My goal is to get the aspire because I know this is not the ideal solution. That’s why I gave only 3 stars. Definitely give it a try, watch the YouTube video with the instructions so you can get it done as well as you can, and try to forget you are wearing the guard at night. It’s better than snoring. I uploaded a screenshot of my snore lab results (highest score, before trying the guard, score 43 first night wearing it and 23 score 2nd night wearing it). The first one has a higher snore score, and the second night it improved.

This mouth guard is working. I’ve been testing it for the last 2 weeks. Molding went pretty well. The top is not very tight but I’m afraid to remold. But the snoring is vastly improved and I’m sleeping better with no dry mouth. I do wake with a little off bite and soreness but it’s worth it. I am using the first band and can go up in shift if needed over time. I do have allergies but as long as I keep my nose clear I do well with this device. It is definitely helping with mouth breathing. My husband also agrees it’s working. That is the true test. I am considering a dental one that is personalized to my mouth for long term but wanted to make sure that shifting the jaw was what I needed. Doctors have been no help. This is a personal trial and error before going to a cpap. I’ve tried so many other mouth pieces. Don’t buy the AIRWAAV. I would absolutely try this before any other products. I wish it was a slimmer design but that would be 100% custom and $3k investment. It’s an affordable appliance with molding. No bad taste or smells. I hope this helps someone else who needs to shift the jaw open to keep the air flow path open.

Adquirí esta guarda para ver si me ayudaba a disminuir los ronquidos, y en mi caso si los disminuyo considerablemente. Utilizo la app de SnoreLab para ver resultados. No es la primera guarda que utilizo que empuja la mandíbula hacia enfrente, pero si la más cómoda ya que trae varios niveles de ajuste mediante unas correas de plástico intercambiables. Les recomiendo ver el video de como moldearla utilizando agua caliente, ya que, si tiene su proceso, pero se puede moldear hasta 3 veces. El precio es elevado, pero me ayuda a dormir mejor…vivo solo y mis ronquidos no molestan a nadie, pero esto hace que no me levante con dolor de garganta en la mañana y tengo menos cansancio durante el día. Les recomiendo tambien utilizar una almohada que eleve bien su cabeza, ya que esto ayuda aun mas a que la lengua no se vaya para atras de la garganta... con almohada delgada me ayudo yo creo en un 50%, con almohada gruesa yo creo un 95%
