True plug-and-play! Seamless setup with Roku TV
I am incredibly impressed with this Philips soundbar. The setup could not have been easier. There was absolutely no tedious configuration or pairing required. I simply plugged the soundbar into the wall outlet, connected the HDMI cable to the speaker, and plugged the other end into the HDMI ARC port on my Roku TV.That was literally it! The soundbar automatically incorporated seamlessly with my Roku TV right out of the box. I can control everything easily without any extra hassle.On top of the effortless installation, the sound quality is good and makes a noticeable difference. It is an overall great value for anyone looking for a reliable, no-fuss audio upgrade. Highly recommended

SIMPLE, uncomplicated, NO extra remote needed with a [TCL] Roku TV, perfect for older people
I was looking for a soundbar for my mother in law’s new TCL Roku TV. The absolute simplest, no extras, plug and play option possible. This is it! It synched immediately with the TCL Roku TV via HMDI port 4, which is the ARC port although it’s not clearly labeled. The TV immediately connected and set it up. I put it behind the TV between the TV’s feet as it doesn’t fit underneath, but the TV barely blocks the front facing drivers, maybe 1/10th of an inch at most. I didn’t even need to put batteries in the soundbars remote - it just turns on and off and volume up and down with the TV’s remote. Good! Exactly what I needed. The sound is better than the TV by far, sounds balanced in its EQ curve, but this is obviously not for audiophiles nor does it claim to be. Did not try Bluetooth or anything else and don’t want to. I even would have bought something more expensive but I wanted something explicitly under-engineered for an older person and it delivers. 5 stars for simplicity and what it is at its price. NOTE: IT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY HDMI OR OPTICAL CABLES.

Sound went out
Purchased in Aug 2025 it is now Dec 2025 and the sounds just went out completely I have tried troubleshooting as best as I can nothing is working it connects to all my devices but the sound is completely out. Before this it worked great. Update 02/22/26 I have yet to hear back about this product I entered a ticket and get no confirmation email regarding the issue, I have called I get nowhere just that someone will get back to me because the representative cannot see that side of the system.

Good deal for the price. Easy to connect. Sound quality is very clear. Great for gaming and watching movies!

Soundbar
This gives good quality sound and works great with a Roku TV. It is louder than TV speakers, but I wish I could make it louder. It also often goes off, but can be turned on by pressing the ON button on it.

Philips b4000 soundbar is awesome
The b4000 from Phillips is an awesome sound bar I'm so glad that I invested my hard-earned money in it I'm loving it they made it right it's very easy to install and use I have it mounted on my TV and nothing flat thank you Amazon and thank you Phillips

Not as good as Roku Soundbars
Definitely not as good as a Roku soundbars sound,and can only connect with HDMI
