Wait up to 24 hours to let it dry for painting cake drips (possibly for everything else too)
This worked great! The color is a honey gold (Glamorous Gold) but I was so excited I bought the Antique Gold as well. For people saying it tastes bitter-I put on two coats and waited 18-20 hours for the alcohol to evaporate. I tried it after 2-3 hours and it did taste terrible. 18 or so hours later, no taste at all. The packaging says to wait up to 24 hours, so just give it time to dry (lots of time) and you’ll be fine.

Perfect paint!
Worked perfectly for what I needed! I used this edible paint for a cow print on my macarons and it was exactly what I needed! It looked beautiful and was the perfect consistency! You just need to give it a good shake and it’s almost like real paint not too watery or thick!

Awful tasting! Ruined cake
I bought this item to gild a drip cake. My drip came out gorgeous, and I used a cake brush to very carefully apply the gold paint. The paint was difficult to apply evenly, and it began drying so quickly that clumps formed when I would go over areas just a few seconds later. I'd reapply to try to get it even, but it resulted in a clumpy looking kind of mess. Even with these issues, the worst part was without question the taste. The taste was BAD. Like alcohol + paint thinner + vinegar bad. It was so bad I had to completely remove the drip layer, basically ruining the smoothness I worked so hard for. I tried to resmooth and cover imperfections with a lot of sprinkles and more piped icing. This item is non-refundable, so I'm stuck with an inedible, awful tasting mess I can never use for food. I'll probably use it for some crafts. Save yourself the trouble and pass. PROs: - Arrived quickly - Liquid so no mixing required CONs: - Awful, awful, foul taste - Difficult to spread evenly - Clumps easily - Non-refundable - Did I mention the taste? Renders cake inedible.

It’s okay, does what I need it to
I got the black paint and it does what I need it to. Pros: Easy to work with Dries completely and does not come off Has a smell at first but goes away once dry Cleans up easy Cons: Takes house (I typically wait over night) to dry Not super covering If you put too much on, it does give off a flavor Tips: If you need it to dry quicker you can always dust some corn starch on it to hurry up the process. I used mine on chocolate for cake pops. If you mess up you can sort of wipe it off and restart, but be careful because I can leave a residue behind that you might have to paint over. I typically take a paper towel and wipe the chocolate off first to kind of buff the surface. Otherwise the paint will kind of bead up.

Use on white icing
Easy to use and provides good coverage over white icing. If using over colored icing may need two coats.

Great to paint, awful to eat
I used it to paint over white chocolate. As far as painting, it works well. I had the same issue of it rolling and not sticking but I did light coats, gave it a few seconds to dry, then kept layering and it looked great. HOWEVER, for a product meant to go on things that will be eaten it tastes AWFUL. It’s a very bitter, alcohol-like taste. I only saw a couple of reviews mention it but I’m so disappointed because it worked well coverage wise. I’m going to keep trying it and update this if I need to.

Works great-just stir the bottom
Perfect coverage. Make sure you stir with the bottom of paintbrush. Get all the bottom mixed in

Brillient product easy to apply with a brush to sugarpaste or sugarflower paste, dries quickly too, making it easier to apply a second coat without streaking.

Colour came out perfect but it tastes disgusting. Like bitter metal.

Used this for a novelty cake and was pleased how intense the colour is. It needed 2 coats but the results were great. Just remember to give the bottle a good shake before using.

Lovely shade of silver. Just right for painting wheel trims on my model of a polo car made from icing. It is great on my Christmas cake icing too.
