The 3e Audio A7 is crystal clear, dynamic, powerful, and detailed—kinda blows my mind. It’s hands down the best amp I’ve ever had in my system. Worth every penny, no question. I was thinking about upgrading my JBL Studio 530s, but now, I’m not so sure I need to. This A7 is a major upgrade for me, makes my speakers sing in a way I didn’t expect. All amps don’t sound the same. I’m not some audiophile, too cheap for that fancy stuff, but I can tell the difference. I had a little issue with my setup, thought it might be the A7 at first. So, I emailed 3e Audio support, and wow, they got back fast. They were super responsive, way above and beyond the call of duty. Turns out it was my setup messing up, not the amp. I really appreciate their patience and how they stuck with me.

Have had this little amp now for about a week, running a set of Klipsch RP-500M II from a WIIM ultra and I could not be happier. Way more power than I need in my space, super clean sound with the 48v 5a power supply. Class D amps have really come a long way in terms of sonic quality. Good build quality in there as well. Will certainly get a few more when I set up a 5.1 system in my main room.

I am here to tell you that this is the compact budget amp you should get for your speakers. You'll see a lot of Class-D speaker amplifiers cheaper than this one on Amazon, they'll have similar specs on paper to this one, and it's reasonable to think that they probably perform the same - they don't. They cheap out on the little components that don't improve the numbers on their spec sheet, they throw in a couple of gimmicks like remote controls and whatnot, and it shows in the end-product: they'll sound slightly off (maybe thin or forced), they'll feel cheap in weird areas. Don't fall for those traps. Yes, this amp costs a little more than the others, but you'll notice immediately that this is how it was supposed to be built all along. There's nothing on this that feels cheap or seems out of place. It's thoughtfully constructed, it only has the features you'd need (volume, bypass, trigger, two inputs), and - most importantly - it sounds the way it should. Buy this amp and be satisfied with making the right choice. Buy a cheaper amp, and you'll be scratching your head for months trying to figure out what sounds close but not quite right.

This is the best class D stereo amplifier based around the TI TPA3255 amplifier module. I use the Mono versions with 48v 10a separate GaN smps as my reference amplifiers. Less than 10ppm THD & IM and noise below 15uv! 👍🏼

Excellent $ dollar value for the 3e Audio A7 amplifier, but it doesn't have treble or bass controls. I use this amp to effortlessly power ("drive") a pair of Triangle Genèse Trio bookshelf speakers (18 inches tall) to loud volumes, when I want loud volume, although audio distortion does become noticeable at loud volumes with this amp in comparison with my much more expensive Yamaha A-S501 amp. Comparison: My Yamaha A-S501 amp is superior in sound quality and bass than this tiny less costly light-weight 3e A7 amp. I need the tiny 3e Audio A7 amp for my den because I don't have the space for my full size Yamaha amp (which I now used in my living room), and the Yamaha amp generates a lot more heat in my den, therefore the 3e A7 was a good purchase for my needs: small footprint, very little heat generated, and powerful enough to drive efficient speakers (rated at 90dB). This 3e A7 amp would have been more useful if it had treble and bass controls, and once in a while there is a sound track that I play that would sound better if I could adjust the treble or bass. This 3e A7 amp automatically turns off after approximately 5+/- minutes if no audio track is being played; and that's not a problem for me because this amp will automatically turn on, within about 1 to 2 seconds, once I start playing an audio track. In comparison with my JADE Audio Level 1 amp (which is also a tiny inexpensive class D amp), the 3e Audio A7 has a tiny bit more power when I did a back-to-back comparison using the same speaker pair. My JADE amp has treble and bass controls, but the 3e A7 doesn't have treble & bass controls. Both these tiny amps (JADE Audio Level 1 and 3e Audio A7 ) have, to the best of my knowledge, the same type of Texas Instruments TPA3255 Class-D power amplifier chip, yet I read the 3e a7 has two TPA3255 chips whereas the JADE Level 1 amp has 1 of these power chips, and that's how the 3e Audio A7 amp has more power than the JADE Level 1 amp.

Initially I was a bit underwhelmed with this amp when I tried it with my main music system that normally has a 250 watt per channel Adcom amplifier driving NHT tower speakers. I think my first mistake was not level matching it with the Adcom amp. I moved the A7 to my small room home theater where I do not use surround sound. I am must running Left and Right stereo speakers with a subwoofer and using Wiim Ultra preamp/streamer. The A7 works beautifully in this application and I could not be more pleased with the sound and the seamless way it integrates with the Wiim Ultra. Highly recommended especially when it goes on sale.

Crystal clear, easily drives my 5ohm speakers. Not harsh sounding.
