Will this work on a 1 inch wide chin strap?

No it 100% will not, the thing is like 7/8" wide and unless you have some Amazon branded helmet with a flimsy strap it will not fit. The argument I got from CS is to curl the strap... first of all no, that's more uncomfortable then never replacing the strap. Second curling the strap will change how it flexes when I need it most, like in a crash, where the helmet is indented to save my life.

do they make one with a pull strap to unlock?

You don’t need a pull strap. With this one it’s easy (even with gloves) to unlock the strap.

i have a shorty helmet and a lot of extra strap any ideas where to put it

I think every helmet will differ. I also had extra after sliding it thru the retainer clip (see the product video). Rather than cut it off, I have been able to tuck it between helmet and strap. I will cut it off eventually. The release has worked well for me a crazy, but cautious senior scooter rider.😎

金属部

付けやすく良いのですが金属部が出てるのでカバーが短いヘルメットだと当たります。

Good Product/Great Price

Great product, well made, not a lot of plastic parts, in particular the ratchet mechanism-all metal parts. Works great.

Vale a pena

Resolve o problema. Embora eu prefira manter o duplo D, pra operar o capacete com luva e equipamento é muito chato. O produto é de qualidade e confiável

Just perfect and as described

Fits well, seems to be more sturdy than the buckle on my LS2 Assault (may it rest in peace on the wall). It’s about 1 and a 1/4” wide, you have to pull the strap back quite a bit to get a nice snug fit, but you do not have to remove the snap to get it on. At least not on my new scorpion exo r430, the strap went right through easily… Materials appear to be as advertised, definitely steel used on the clip, feels rather comfortable since my pads are wide and pretty thick. Very likely compatible with any helmet, really easy to install and solid grip from the latch, the rubber guard is definitely keeping some friction on the strap, but I tucked mine into the padding fully and it’s not coming off for sure. I’ve hated double d ring systems since forever and this made my first day back on my bike tomorrow so much more pleasant to look forward to.
