My Burick key fob's button covers fell apart. I taped the covers on for a pretty good while until it just didn't work anymore. I was gonna buy a new fob and teach it which is kind of a pain and switch my old key over which also is a pain. I saw this and decided to try it. The only problem was getting my old fob apart. I tried prying and then cutting with a box cutter. What worked was using my oscillating tool which worked great. I took great pains to not cut too deep to avoid hurting my original board. Everything switched over flawlessly and this one comes apart easily. The key spring is the only tricky part But being patient unlike I usually am worked well.

For my 2013 Chevy Sonic XLT hatchback. This is just the shell, with a blank/uncut Ignition key. It separates easily to replace the original BUT the key pivot is not exactly the same as the original. The interface is slightly different and the old key doesn't sit correctly in the new body. There's a fix for this though... Open your original key about 1/4" and you'll see the laser cut part is pinned in place with a cold roll pin. Drive out that pin and pull the cut part straight out. Do the same with the new one and place your cut key onto the pivot and reinstall the roll pin. Rotate the key counter clockwise one full turn, until the spring locks in place. Swap the board to the new body and put together. Add battery and go.

Does not fit anything but the chip board from the old key, not even the key. You'll be stuck with a blank key. It's trash. Dont waste you're money

My fob was for a 2014 Chevy Sonic LT. The tabs and grooves for the new push-button assembly do not match the old one. To avoid cutting a new key, I had to push the small 1/16" pin out of the assemblies and swap the blades. You may have to grind a little off the end of the old blade so the half-pin hole lines up in the new assembly. Otherwise worked as intended and the circuit board fit perfectly.

Fit perfect it's just a case..

Had to modify this case so that my original key would fit and then the key doesn’t stay closed when you fold it in . Buttons work well but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have the ability or skills to modify this type of device.

Exactly as described. Didn’t come with any instructions, but a quick google & a youtube video later I was able to fairly simply switch out the insides from my original fob. Getting my original fob apart was the hardest part (it broke into assorted pieces and parts went flying). New fob works perfect and I was able to switch out the blank key it came with to my original as well. o my current key.

I have a Chevy sonic. The key cam didn't fit in the replacement case . It has a roll pin that I could knock out,so I could switch the new blank key my old car key.

Product arrived promptly, matched original item exactly, except for vehicle ‘logo’. There were no logos with item and old logo could not be removed from old case, leaving an open hole in back of case. Transfer of parts was easy and remote worked as original.
