Device works as advertised and has done everything expected!
Worked exactly as expected! Very easy to set up and very portable and worked on all the networks i have tried.Set up NordVPN (very easy) and this VPN runs all the time when connected to any other network. I took this on holiday with me and connected it to the hotel WIFI, then all my devices (no device number restrictions) connected and were protected and ‘in the UK’ due to VPN.I did also purchase a protective case just for protection and to store any extra cables. It is very well built but like to have everything in one place.Has a nice display on front to show what status is and to start and stop the VPN as well.As a router it is very fast, when running the VPN, throughput drops by around 20% (max 150mbs) and WIFI range was very strong.I now carry this when travelling so i dont worry about hotel / public connections. Have not tried on a plane but told it works there !

Great device from GliNet
I've used GliNet devices before, the old Mango was a great little staple for on the road. But this new device really elevates the game with portable travel routers. You get all the decent level grade control as other routers with the portability that travel requires. I bought this one to be a WIFI bridge for a production network at a Hotel, we got 500Mbps each way using this little router so impressive is an understatement. Lovely build quality and the touchscreen on front is a nice bonus with the ability to connect and disconnect VPNs at a touch.

Mighty Mini Router – Easy Setup & Solid Performance
The GL.iNet GL-BE3600 (Slate 7) is a brilliant little device. It’s impressively compact, which makes it perfect for travel or home setups where space matters.Pros:Small footprint, but full of featuresSetup was straightforward for the basicsGreat for VPN use and privacy-conscious usersTravel-ready and feels well-builtCons:Some advanced options in the menus can be a bit over your head if you’re not a techie (but not a dealbreaker)Despite the more complex settings, I was able to get everything I needed up and running without any real issues. If you’re even reading this review, you likely already know you want one — just go for it. You won’t regret it.Strongly recommend for privacy nerds, digital nomads, and curious tinkerers, I just had to knock a star off due to it been very advanced in some areas for me.

Amazing router
This is a travel (or home) router that literally connects everything to everything (with the minor exception of a SIM card slot).Typical uses are:- Tether from a mobile phone (USB, Bluetooth and WiFi supported) and make the connection available as either WiFi or Ethernet.- Get an Ethernet connection (e.g. a hotel room) and provide WiFi- Get a WiFi connection and act as a repeater, extending the rangeAside from these basic functions, the router supports any kind of VPN, AdGuard, Dynamic DNS and even Network Storage. WiFi 7 provides the best possible speeds that are available at the time of writing. The build quality is decent, and the built-in screen makes the basic information available, so that you can actually connect to the device. Then the web-based interface offers intuitive configuration options. Here is how I tested this device due to an actual emergency:Broadband connection to my home has failed, and an engineer is booked to arrive in 3 days' time. I work from home, and the whole family heavily relies on the Internet. I used a 5G phone and set up tethering using USB (it even charges the phone while connected). Then I connected the Ethernet interface of the GLiNet to my home router. It took no more than 15 mins, including tidying up the broadband as primary and this one as secondary. Everything from smart home devices to the TV worked perfectly, making me very impressed with the ease of setup. The price of £137.99, at the time of this review, is good value for the money given all the capabilities and the overall build quality.

Small and compact but powerful
I may not be able and know how to use this to its full capability but as a wifi repeater it works very well and it was quite easy to set up. You do need a bit of time to set it up with passwords and account creation but after that it is just simply connecting to it. It is small and compact so it is best for traveling. So far I haven’t have connection issues and it seems to work as expected. I am curious of how it will work on a hotel wifi as I haven’t tried it yet.
