Great product with excellent instructions
I was truly amazed how well this register worked. It did an excellent job helping to heat a very cold mud room in the winter. Recently I moved it to our bedroom during a heat spell with high humidity. The circulation in our forced air furnace which our heat pump is connected to isn’t great. Our bedroom was very warm. This register help to cool off the room very quickly. It was like a different room after the register ran for a short period of time. The manual was simple and clear and the message was if you have any issues at all contact us immediately! I would buy again.

Works Great, Easy Installation
I was a bit skeptical of this item at first, had a different product years ago that didn't seem to help. But the second story in our home tends to run 3-5 degrees warmer in the summer than the main floor where the thermostat is located and took the chance that this may help. Installation was quite easy, just make sure you get the right size, loved that they had a variety of size choices unlike many other competitors. I admit, it took me a few minutes to understand how to lock in the settings correctly, but got them eventually. The highest fan speed is a bit noisy, but we are a fan family and it's more just like background white noise. And we'll take the noise because the velocity with which it pulls the air is quite strong, you can feel it from several feet away! We are very happy with the unit, when the AC is running, it cools the room to the exact same temperature as the thermostat is set, even a degree lower sometimes! That being said, you have to understand how it works. You program the cooling temperature lower than the thermostat setting by a few degrees, but not colder than the temperature of the air when the AC is blowing. The fan should be off until the AC starts blowing, and once it senses colder air, the fan turns on. This means that when the AC is actively blowing, it makes a significant difference in the room temperature. However, if there are longer periods when the AC is not blowing, the room temperature will creep back up because the unit is off (as it should be since it would then be pulling in hotter air just sitting in the vents). Just a word of caution so you have realistic expectations. My only minor complaint is that it does seem to take a couple minutes to turn on after the AC starts blowing, and stays on for a couple minutes after the AC clicks off. But it's a minor issue and does not seem to detract from overall performance.

Definitely a +
This product does work wonders. My central a/C vents are on the floor. This product sucks the air out of my vent making my bedroom nice and cold. I love the level of speed. A do recommend. Just make sure you have the right measurements.

A Game-Changer for Hot Spots!
I’ve struggled with hot spots in my house for a long time—even with the AC running constantly, some rooms just wouldn't cool down. I have to admit, I was initially skeptical. I wasn't sure if these fans would actually make a difference, how effective they would be at lowering the temperature, or how durable the motors would be over time. I decided to take the plunge and bought three units for my bedrooms and living room, and I am pleasantly surprised! Here is why I’m happy with my purchase: Effective Cooling: For the first time in a long time, the temperature in all three rooms has dropped noticeably. My house is finally cool enough to survive this heat wave. Quiet Operation: The fans are not loud at all; they sound like a standard household fan. Great Performance: I can finally feel the AC working in every room, which is exactly what I was hoping for. While the units come with a 30-month warranty, I’m hopeful they will last well beyond that so I won't even need to use it. If you’ve been dealing with inconsistent cooling in your home, I highly recommend giving these a try. So far, they have definitely been worth the investment!

Why this may or may not solve your problem, it depends...
There are many variables involved in solving a low airflow problem to the AC register in a particular room in your house. This product can solve some of the problems but not all so it depends on your particular situation. The fan will move more air out of your register and if your ducts are properly sealed it will pull that air from your airhandler where your AC coil is located and help to cool your room better. If your ducts are not sealed properly then it will not work so well as it will pull unconditioned air into the duct through the gaps at the duct joints instead of just pulling more conditioned air. You can measure the temperature of the air coming from your register and if it goes up when the booster fan is running then you probably have duct leaks that need to be sealed. Before you even turn the booster fan on you can measure the temperature of air coming out of your register from a room far from the air handler and also one near the air handler. If there is a large difference then your ducts may not be insulated and you are gaining heat into the ducts before the air gets to the farthest register. In conclusion when the duct work is not sized correctly for balanced airflow this fan can help boost the airflow to the problem room but unless the ducts are sealed and insulated properly the fan will not solve all your problems. There is a company called Aeroseal that can spray an aerosol sealant into a pressurized duct to seal it from the inside. This could help make the booster fan deliver more cold air in the summer or hot air in the winter to your problem room. It can also make your system more efficient and cheaper to operate. If you have access to your ducts you can seal them from the outside with a duct mastic and add insulation as needed. In my home the ducts were sized poorly and my second floor rooms were too hot in the summer. I added booster fans to the registers on the second floor. It helped only a little as I had leaky ducts. I closed off some of the registers on the first floor to get more flow to the second floor and that helped more but while I did not get the temperatures balanced between floors I was able to come close. You must be careful when closing registers on an AC system because if you restrict the airflow too much it can cause your AC coil to ice up. I also had returns on both floors so I closed off the one on the first floor so that all air returning to the air handler was coming from the second floor. This also helped to cool the second floor.
