This is because Ferrasorb now contains leucine. Leucine is an amino acid that is used instead of other flowing agents that can reduce nutrient absorption. The leucine Thorne uses is derived from duck feathers. The ducks that the feathers come from are not killed for their feathers; rather, their feathers are collected off the ground after the feathers fall off naturally.

Q: What is the size of these pills pls? i have a problem with very large pills. can someone post a picture with some reference like a penny? many thanks

I can't post a pic, but I would call these fairly small for a capsule. They are certainly not "very large pills". I take another iron capsule and a vitamin C capsule, and they are much larger.

Q: Has this product raised anyone's serum iron levels? Not just ferritin.

Yes, my hemoglobin was at 8mg/l and started taking this 2 to 3 times per day. My check-up yesterday I was back at 14.5mg/l and ALL other levels were normal. Worked perfect for me.
