This laughing buddha was exactly what I was looking for. I have him on a table at the entrance to my home. He greets everyone entering & brings wealth. It meets my feng shui needs & isn't frightning for my kids. Love it! Looks exactly as pictured. Would recommend.

Great statue of the Hotei Buddha, my friends love it standing in their garden.

This statue is made out of plastic, and does not resemble the photo in the listing. I will be returning this item.

This is quite a nice little garden statue, and I do like the finish. However, as with all Toscano products, it's actually hollow with quite a thin shell, and they are actually quite fragile. The narrow piece on Buddha's bindle here, then,certainly wouldn't survive a knock from a pet or being blown over by the wind, so do ensure that you set it in place permanently with plaster or similiar in your garden if you decide to buy it.

I received this ‘Happy Buddha’ via Amazon Vine for review purposes and I was immediately impressed with the finish of the product that is so much better than a ‘Weeping Buddha’ I reviewed previously. Also the nature of a light buff colour seems more authentically in keeping than the earlier grey, and there were no unsightly seams. The statue is not particularly heavy and so indicates there is a high proportion of resin mixed with the crushed stone, which should be more durable when placing outdoors.Word of warning: - though the product is safely protected for transit, the use of friable polystyrene makes a terrible mess when unpacking – better use bubble-wrap?
