The Carry-On Luggage, 22-inch Lightweight Hardside Spinner Suitcase

I went back and forth on buying this suitcase or another brand prior to my trip and after days (actually weeks) of reading reviews, I finally decided to go with the Away 22in carry on. I’m so glad I made the choice and now can say I 10/10 recommend it. I am obsessed with it. Looks so nice and packs so much. The color is neutral and looks sharp. Lightweight and easy to navigate as a carry on. The wheels are insanely smooth. Can’t wait to plan my next trip so I can use it again ✈️

I love this suitcase. I have yet to use it because I had to cancel my trip to Paris when I broke my ankle and thumb. I will update after I use it, but I think it will be perfect for my trip. It looks beautiful and rolls smoothly. Update: I used it on a trip to Las Vegas. It holds a huge amount in a little space. The wheels are smooooth. I wanted a suit as that is effortless to roll, and I found it. When I paired it with a suitcase cover, I had the perfect luggage. It fit perfectly in the overhead bin. I had to check it on my return flight, which kind of worried me, but it came out just fine. Luckily I had the suitcase cover, which did not come out unscathed. However, it did its job and protected my suitcase. Now I know it will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Paris!

This is a nice looking small suitcase that is easy to load in the overhead bin. It has outside handles on the top, bottom and side for easy grabbing/carrying. The wheels are smooth for easy motoring around an airport and other surfaces. I've used it about 4-5 times for short 1-3 night trips, and it seems pretty durable with no visible wear yet. I got a few scuffs, but was able to buff them away with a little paste cleaner and a microfiber towel (I misplaced the sponge that came with the bag). See before/after photos. The blue is a classy color, but popular. It came with a laundry bag and I like the zippered compartments for organization. This is their smallest bag and has no zippered extra capacity for expansion. For longer trips (with no checked baggage) or if you might be carrying home souvenirs, etc., I would consider getting the Bigger Carry-On with Expansion. I always have to carry a backpack with this bag for extra stuff.

This carry-on luggage is an exceptional choice for a four or five-day trip. It is highly portable and constructed from high-quality materials. Notably, it includes a laundry bag and additional pockets for storing smaller items. My preferred luggage for any getaway trip!

Overall I like this suitcase. I think it’s a good size, light enough to lift into overhead storage, and I like the organization inside. It wheels around very smoothly. There are a lot of AWAY suitcases rolling around US airports nowadays. I did have to use the limited lifetime warranty, see below. Warranty experience: My suitcase had a minor defect upon delivery. The handle when pulled upward would about 50% of the time get stuck halfway. Compressing the button again and trying to pull it up didn’t solve it. I’d have to push the handle all the way down again and try pulling it up again, and it would often get stuck a second time. Very annoying, and clearly a defect. This does mean that I now have direct experience with AWAY’s customer service. On their website, the warranty form asks for an order number. At the time of me using it, the warranty form doesn’t accept Amazon order numbers (only order numbers from their own website). I contact customer support directly, explained the issue, provided photos, and provided my receipt. They handled the warranty claim for me, and they immediately sent me a replacement handle kit at no cost to me. The good news is that Amazon orders fall under their warranty. This isn’t the case for all suitcase brands. This is one of the reasons I chose AWAY: I like the idea of the suitcase being modular and fixable through these kits versus having to spend my time taking a suitcase to an approved repair location or spending my money shipping the suitcase to a repair location. I am pleased to say that the handle kit was easy to replace (need to use your own screwdriver) and that the replacement handle kit works as expected.

Great quality and warranty. My daughter bought one years ago and travels frequently. This suitcase is extremely durable and really fits a lot when you use the expanding zipper. My wife now has one and loves it the wheels are really good it rolls effortlessly.

Light weight but so durable! Easy to clean after travel. Lots of room for a carry on. Color is true to picture. Stands out among other suitcases without being obnoxious

Beautiful, high quality item. Wheels spin great. I bought this as a gift for someone - who had decided he no longer wanted this size so it was returned. Seller accepted return without hassle. It’s a great bag, quality wise, though we didn’t have the opportunity to fully use it. The handle is sturdy, not wiggly or unstable. Sturdy zipper that slides easily without grabbing. Nice wheels - seem heavy duty. I’d recommend it.
