Very Good Unit
Q10 S5. After 6 years my old robot vac just lost its way. Really, it could no longer find the dock even though it knew where to look. Research said the Q10 S5 was a new unit and woould work well. Can confirm. This works as expected. With two cats we get lots of shedding and this picks up most of it. There is one carpet that we occassionally use a powerful upright to deep clean the fur but for day to day the Roborock does the trick. In fact, we bought a second related Q10. The second, Q10 X5 is used upstairs which is all carpet. Picks up the fur and clay litter sand that gets tracked everywhere. The S5 is used downstairs because it has a better mopping capability. We haven't tested the mopping part yet. It can navigate switches from hardwood to area rugs with ease. The quick mapping is amazing. Lots of technical progress in the years since our last non-Roborock unit. Setting no-go areas is fairly easy but hard to do fine placement. And, while the official limit is 10 no-go areas I can only save 5 per map. Suction is very good. To affect a good emptying of the dust bin takes opening the side panel and removal of the filter to get to the debris stuck to it and elsewhere in the bin. I wonder if the plus version would have been worth the extra money. Battery life has been sufficient to cover about 900sf of carpet at high suction, single pass. Would probably do a double pass using the mid-level suction. All vacs make noise but it is less so than our uprights and slightly less than our old robot vac. I like that it does a good job, quickly, avoids obstacles and does so at a price that is much less than many more expensive models.

Does Not Work-Only 6 months-Do Not Buy
I bought the Roborock 7 months ago (June 2025), and as of today (February 2026) it will not vacuum correctly. It does not pick up simple dirt (no suction from vacuum), now it does not recognize my house and it’s so loud, that I can’t run it when home due to loudness! As to before it was super quiet & I could run while home with no bother. I have a cat, so between the cat hair and my long hair, in the beginning (first 5 months), it would vacuum perfectly and pick up smoothly! I would come home to clean floors!! But I notice 6 months in, it was starting to make very loud noise when it starts, then it eventually stopped picking up hair and simply daily dirt that your floors collect. I bought this specific vacuum because it said it works on pet hair, obviously not!! I spent $300+ for this vacuum just to work properly for six (6) months - very heart breaking. I bought it because reviews seem to work well - but it’s been completely opposite for me after just 6 months of owning it. I clean the vacuum after each use, which was set to 3 times a week, but now set to daily to “try” to vacuum what it can. I find myself going back to old school - broom and mop! When I take off my shoes, when I walk on my floors, I can feel the dirt on the bottom of my feet cause the vacuum didn’t pick up anything. Unless you want to spend your money for something to work just six months, then don’t buy! You will find yourself disappointed that you invested in something that doesn’t work. I sure do hope this vendor reaches out to me to make it right - but i doubt it.

Surprising weaknesses.
When this vacuum works, it works very well. Powerful suction. Extremely quiet. The bin holds more dirt than one would expect, making it less often you have to manually empty it. When it fails it’s a shock. It has three major failings: 1. Carpet fringe. The is the most annoying because the vacuum is advertised as having anti-tangle technology. It doesn’t. It fails on any semblance of fringe or threads. 2. The corners of carpets. If it tries to go from hard flooring to a carpet by approaching in a way that the corner of the carpet goes under the vacuum it gets stuck. If it is on the corner of a carpet it cannot turn or go forward or backward but it continues to try to do so, causing a horrible sputtering sound. 3. It maps whenever it is vacuuming and makes mistakes it when it does so, requiring to send it out on a mapping task.

Vacuum great, mopping, not so great. Still highly recommend.
I'm very happy with this product as a replacement for my irobot that finally died. I like the various options for suction. The app is very good with the mapping function. My only gripe is the mop doesn't clean as well as I hoped it would.

Great customer services.
Happy with the product, I’ve had an other one before from an other brand and I didn’t get any help from customer support. The main brush cover broke, I emailed customer service and they dealt with it right away on a Sunday. This is important. Battery last a long while and this little robot is able to last longer than the other one I had. It’s not very quiet but does the job, in between regular vacuuming. Also super easy to use. Would recommend.

Avoid the Q10 S5 - Multiple Failures and Poor Support
I am a long-time Roborock fan—I currently own an S4 and an S7 Max that work beautifully—but the Q10 S5 is a complete failure. I purchased this unit in July 2025, and I have already had it replaced twice under warranty. I am now on my third machine, and it has the exact same defects as the first two. My experience with this model has been a nightmare: Navigation Failure: It moves maybe 2 feet, gets "confused," and stops in the middle of the room for no reason. Map Loss: It constantly loses its saved maps, requiring a full re-mapping almost every time I use it. Excessive Noise: Unlike my other models, every unit I’ve received has been incredibly loud. One replacement even produced a high-pitched mechanical whine straight out of the box. Disobedience: It ignores instructions and "No-Go" zones entirely. Warranty & Support Frustrations: The most frustrating part was the first replacement. The original unit died completely—it wouldn't turn on or move at all. Even though I work in IT and am extremely careful with my electronics, Roborock’s technicians claimed the mainboard had been "flooded" by liquid damage. They eventually replaced it as a "gesture of goodwill," but their attempt to blame me for a hardware failure was insulting. I have spent months "babysitting" a robot that is supposed to save me time. If you want the reliability Roborock is known for, do not buy the Q10 S5. Stick to the S-series or the Qrevo. This model is fundamentally defective, and even multiple warranty replacements haven't solved the problem. Amazon eventually stepped in to provide a refund after the manufacturer failed to provide a working unit.

The Lidar and intelligence is amazing!
This robot is fantastic! The Lidar mapping is incredible. You can watch on the app map as your house and rooms are mapped out. Creating separations of rooms, barriers, and no go zones is super easy. It vacuums as good as an upright in turbo mode and the mopping is surprisingly awesome! I used the roborock floor cleaning solution and the floors are shiny and clean. This is a truly intelligent robot that grid cleans along the direction of the wood floor planks. As an engineer myself, I am thoroughly impressed with this thing.

Capable robot vacuum that falls short as a mopper
The Roborock Q10 S5 is a capable robot vacuum that falls short as a mopper. Navigation is handled via LiDAR with a front-facing obstacle-avoidance sensor, and the unit is controlled primarily through the companion app — intuitive for mapping and scheduling — alongside two physical buttons for power and dock return. Vacuuming: With 10,000 Pa of suction, the Q10 S5 handles hard floors and low-pile carpets competently. It automatically adjusts suction power when transitioning between surfaces, ramping up on carpet and dialing back on hard flooring — a seamless, hands-off experience that works as advertised. Mopping: This is where the Q10 S5 loses ground. It drags a vibrating microfiber pad behind it while vacuuming, slowly dispensing water as it goes — but that's the extent of its mopping sophistication. The pad is never rinsed during a cycle, meaning dirty water and debris get redistributed across your floors rather than removed. The cloth pad must be washed manually after each session, and even the Q10 S5+ with its auto-empty docking station offers no automatic pad washing or drying. To its credit, the robot does lift the mop pad before crossing onto carpet, preventing cross-contamination — a small but welcome detail. Bottom Line: The Q10 S5 earns its place as a solid vacuum in its price range, but its mopping system is rudimentary at best. If clean floors — not just vacuumed ones — are a priority, look for a robot that offers mop rinsing, automatic dirty-water evacuation, and self-cleaning/drying of the mop at the dock.

Perfecta!
Larga vida a Roborock! Estoy encantado con mi robot.

excellent value for money
A very pleasant and satisfying shopping experience — the Roborock robot truly lives up to the recommendation from my friend. When I brought it home and saw it, I was impressed by its sleek design and solid build quality, which made me look forward to its performance even more. Once it started working, it operated just as smoothly and elegantly as it looked. It can sweep, vacuum, and mop — overall, compared to other robots, it not only has great aesthetics and comprehensive features, but also offers excellent value for money. From now on, I’ll let it take charge of cleaning the house!

Got a lemon- horrible support
It was perfect for the 2 first weeks. Then, it started to have HUGE trouble getting back to his station and it was unplugging itself for no reason at 2:00 and trying to reconnect… all that random noise can’t let you sleep. It also started to make VERY random movement when cleaning. It also started to clean less and less every week. I would totally not recommend, then programmed obsolescence is ABSURD. After contacting the compagny, they were comprehensive and proposed to send me a new one. Maybe the one I received was a lemon. Update, they changed their mind and offered me to repair it while I was not at home for 2 weeks. Their offer got expired and now offer me nothing. While I was communicating with the support, I felt like they didn’t even read my answers. Almost like was talking to a laggy useless bot from early 2000s. In summary, it works perfect for 2 weeks and then starts to deteriorate. After 1 months and half, It’s now making very loud weird noises every time it turns. Also, it goes at random speed and hits things hardly. This is absolutely pathetic. A cheap piece of plastic made to last 1 year max. It’s a shame to litteraly sell this product.

A must have for pets!
This is my second robot vacuum after my first one croaked. I was so impressed by the app integration! It works quickly in my apartment and typically finishes a cycle without an issue — unless I leave things on the floor that get stuck. As a single professional with two cats, this helps significantly with tracked litter and fur for daily maintenance. I’ve been running the vacuum almost every day for the past months and this has been a noticeable improvement in my life! However, the mopping function was streaky for me, so I primarily use the vacuum.

The vacuuming is good, but the mopping is mediocre
The main reason I chose this model of Roborock is the lifting mop feature when changing from rugs to hardwood floors. The quality of mopping is not as good as the vacuuming suction power (10000Pa) on this model. I assume a robot vacuum with two circular mops would do a better job than this system with a flat mop, which is just moved on the floor. Also, the size of this Roborock model is larger compared with S7 models, so more spots in the house are left un-vacuumed. I will purchase this robot vacuum, if is 1/2 the price listed today on Amazon( not more than $250." ).
