I love the functionality of this bottom board. The adjustable entrance is a nice feature for the ebb and flow of the year. The entrance incorporates a mouse-guard and allows you to close up the hive when needed. The pollen trap works well and can be removed or adjusted to allow varied settings for the bees to all pass through the trap or some or none at all. The bottom board's design allows for ventilation but limits the potential for light to enter the hive as is typical for many screened bottom boards. The slide out tray can help with pest monitoring and/or trapping.
