This is a comprehensive guide to choosing and using a router including which bits to use for which job. Techniques cover all the usual range of joints, edge, tongue, tenon and so on along with moulding and grooving. The strength of the book is in the wide range of home made jigs for which detailed plans are provided. The jigs plans extend to aids for commercial router tables. Details are also provided for choosing and basic use of commercial fixtures such as work centres, dovetail jigs, over head and table routers.Making the jigs does require some competance with the router in the first place, and you do have to be accurate when you make them. Some jigs do seem a bit flimsy when finished, such as the homemade overhead router table. However the big advantage is that all jigs are simple to make unlike some other router books and they are all suitable for use with a Workmate!There is a useful section at the end on basic furniture/frame construction.
