Senior Cat Food, Chicken in Gravy, 3oz Can, Pack of 12

It’s very watery y cat did not like it. He’s 11.

I thought I'd experiment to see if my senior cat would like this senior-specific cat food. She likes it well enough. However, in my opinion it's too expensive. Here's why: The solid food contents are somewhat loosely packed, with the balance of the contents being liquid. That makes it way too expensive, at least compared to another brand I've been purchasing for quite some time that she also likes, which also comes in 3 oz cans, and the food contents are liberally packed, yet also contain a nice balance of thick gravy, which she also likes. Also, each can of that other brand contains enough food for me to give her a nice-sized serving for both her morning and evening meals. But with this senior brand, I would have to give her more than a can a day. I've been ordering that other brand in a 24 can case at .88 per can. But I ordered this brand in a 12 can case for $1.89 per can. Maybe this senior food is more than twice as nutritious per serving, but I doubt it. Also, two of the 12 cans came very badly dented in several places on each can, although after inspecting the cans carefully, the metal was not punctured. But really.... who wants dented cans, especially if the contents are skimpy, and even if the food is supposedly of such high quality?

Five stars - I was looking for high quality cat food - since my senior cat, Sammy, is struggling with the big C—- He doesn’t have much appetite right now and is more picky than usual. This cat food checked all the boxes - quality ingredients, in gravy and easy to eat, and he would eat. Quality: Excellent Senior Cat chicken.

Did recipe change? Our cat no longer eats this product and has for a long time. She smells it and then walks away. 🤷‍♀️

The cats liked it, then they didn’t. I wanted better food for them, who really knows what we’re getting anymore. Other cats I think would like it. Seems to be clean and easy to eat.

It may be healthy but my cats refused it. I put it outside for the raccoons.

As with most foods, my cat only wants the gravy. He is old! But liked the gravy out and left all the meaty parts!

My 16 year old kitties are getting very finicky about their food. I have to chop up the pieces of chicken in this product. They love the gravy, but sometimes leave the solids.
