Great pump for thin fluid. Not great for oil or thick fluids.
Great value! Works perfect on thin fluids, such as some cleaning products or water. the output hose threads on instead of a friction fit, which is nice compared to cheaper models. I used the D cells instead of AA batteries. You can however use AAs with the provided battery packs.

Great pump
If your older and don't want to lift and pour this works. Be sure to get the batteries right. Feel it for heat to make sure. The batteries are odd. This is for filling my emergency generator

Red button issues again!! UPDATE!!
The unit has great suction power with fresh batteries. This is my second purchase of this device & the same issue has happened again. The first unit I was able to get a replacement within the return window. However this time, it's about a week or two over the 30-day return window. I was surprised to see the design change between the first & third unit. The suction/intake changed from a plastic flex tube to a hard plastic pipe. The issue is after some time has passed, the red button begins to not switch on/off. With the first & second unit, I was able to "repair" it but it was only temporary. The red switch has a metal pin that connects to a metal rocker piece. It reminds me of a see-saw. When you click the switch on, the metal pin slides across the rocker piece & presses down on it to make contact with metal plate on the bottom to activate the unit. The issue is the metal pin is housed in the plastic & the plastic that holds the pin gets loose or cracks. Therefore the pin isn't held tight in position to hold down the see-saw piece & the unit doesn't activate.I have 2 units with the same issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. It would be nice if they sold just the white cap switch to order or include 1 with the order until they can redesign the switch. I'm going to try to rig up something that won't break in a month or two.UPDATE: I ended up rigged this to have the red button stay in the on position and just unscrew/screw the top to power it on & off. This worked perfectly until the motor ended up dying about a month later so ended up buying a different brand.

Doesn’t fit into gas cans!
Terrible for transferring gas from a standard gas can. I use a great deal of gas for generators, log splitters, chain saws, vehicles, etc. I have 5 of the red plastic gas cans of varying sizes and makes. All of them have exactly the same size opening to put gas in. It’s the standard size in the industry. My bad for not checking it out closer, but the siphon end of this pump does not fit in any of my Gas cans. It’s exactly the same size and needs to be forced to go in the can. The bottom piece came apart from the siphon, exposing the impeller. After getting the hose out I had to destroy the can to retrieve that piece. One of the pictures shows someone pumping gas into a car but does not show what they were pumping from. Well, what else would you be using to transfer gas with if not a gas can? The pump works well. I’ll give it that. But unless I send it back I’ll need to pour gas from my gas cans into a 5 gallon bucket and then into my car or other devices. Just 1/16” smaller and it would slip nicely into my gas cans. Really unacceptable design. Buyer beware.

Did the job I needed it for
I've owned a couple of these from other companies before. The all look similar by design. The problem in the past is the electrical contact points get bad, or the switch stops working, but we'll have to see with this unit. I've used these to pump out a leaky boat and it did the job. This one I used to remove gasoline from my old lawn mower to put into my new one. After running out the gas, I ran the pump in a bucket of water to rinse out the gasoline in the pump. It's handy, and worth the money. You might want to remove the batteries if not using it for long periods of time, since the batteries tend to leak.

It does what it's supposed to do.
This is the same one that Harbor Freight sales for about $10.00 cheaper! I purchased this one because I thought it would be better quality. It does pump the gas well... The problem is that on the top of the on-off switch you have to hold the switch in to keep it running. I know it isn't a safety feature. I figured it was easier to use it like that as go through the struggle of getting it repackaged and sent back. So as for the pumping power it works good.

great little gas pump
This is the absolute handiest little gas pump I've seen. Now I am not juggling a 5 gal full can with the phony spouts tey come with trying to fill my riding lawn tractor, spilling gas everywhere. Now I simply bring the gas can to the mower insert the plastic discharge tube and flip the switch. No spilled gas, no sore back from juggling the can. I cannot speak higher for this little pump.

Never be without
Don’t hesitate. The best $20 I’ve ever spent!! I can fill my lawnmower and not spill a drop, golf cart, generator, tractor no spillage to clean up. I’ll never be without one.
