Very good chicory, ground to the right size for pourover filters and Aeropress. (Chicory mellows the taste of cheap Robusta coffees, and reduces the caffeine per cup. Measure out in equal proportion to your ground coffee ... e.g. for one cup, use half a tablespoon of ground coffee and an equal amount of this. Brew as normal.) On its own it makes a good substitute beverage but wants a little cream to help its flavour.

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from? This is close to coffee but has a distinct taste. If you are trying to give up coffee and caffeine, I would recommend this. Use half as much ground product as you would for regular coffee. I miss coffee but feel much better drinking this. With whole milk its delicious.

Without any doubt this “plain” French roasted chicory is the absolute best. I grew up drinking coffee and coffee alternatives like Pero, Postum and others but in the last several years I started trying chicory root products directly. There are several other brands on the internet and on Amazon with lots of extra ingredients that seem like they would be a good idea, they are not. This simple but high quality 100% chicory is exceptional. It has a complex flavor profile due to the quality of the product and it is perfect just the way it is. On days when you don’t want the acidity of coffee this is a wonderful alternative the actually settles the stomach and makes you feel better.

I cant say enough good things about this product. I quite drinking coffee but missed the bitter hot drink. This is a much healthier substitute without a caffeine crash midday or causing skin dehydration. Pure bliss and full of antioxidants.
