Review: This worked Very Well - My dog HATES fireworks! I didn't read on box that you give one day B4 and one day off so I gave her one in AM and then sprinkled on her good @ 4pm. She was very calm but not sedated. No panting and crawling all over me. Wish I had enough notice on FL thunderstorms so I could use for that too.
Review: Works but has cons - I’d give these a 3.75/5 stars. This stuff does work for both of my cats, BUT there are a few things to note: 1) I use this product on an as-needed basis, NOT as a daily or regular thing. My initial need for it was to keep my 5 month old kittens calm while they recovered from surgery. 2) One of my cats (who is a picky eater) hated this stuff on her food so much she stopped eating her wet food after I put this in it once. I am still able to give it to her, but have to put it in sardines or something that’s a “special treat” or she will not eat it. My non-picky eater doesn’t have an issue eating this mixed in with her wet food as long as I mix the powder in. 3) For about 15-20 minutes after my cats eat this, they get extra hyper, almost like a “burst” of extra energy - I’m not sure if that has solely to do with the medication, but I do think it adds to it. Once they settled down, though, they are noticeably calmer for several hours. 4) I only give each of my cat up to half a capsule at a time/per day & that works well for them.

**Q: Does it have a smell?**
A: Well, I just went and sniffed it for you. 😊 The capsules don’t, and I open them and pour the powder onto my cat’s wet food every morning. I’ve never noticed any smell. 

It’s made a difference for her. Been buying them at least a couple of years now.

**Q: Can can zylkene be safely given along with bach rescue remedy for pets?**
A: I don’t know the answer to your question. My vet recommended this for my pet so I would recommend you ask your veterinarian the question...

**Q: Are the capsules compostable?**
A: These capsules seem to be made of the same geletin based material as capsules for human supplements/medications. They melt away so I would say yes, they're compostable.

**Q: Can this be mixed with a bit of water and put into a syringe for oral administration?**
A: Probably.  I open the capsule, put it on my cat's wet food and add a bit of water.
