Most smartphone alternatives are either obsolete, dumbed down for seniors or kids, flimsy and cheap, or niche products with one-off software from companies that won't be around next year. This one is different. My husband was very happy with this Kyocera flip phone because it reminded him of the old flip phones he used many years ago. It was easy for him to use and worked well at first. Unfortunately, after only about two weeks, the phone stopped working completely. We tried removing and reinserting the battery, charging it, resetting it, and performing several troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped. Sadly, we had to return the phone. It was a great concept for someone who prefers a simple flip phone, but the reliability was disappointing.

Gift for brother, said he would never need to buy another phone for the rest of his life. Loved it. Sound quality is great! Super durable. Battery life is exceptional. Very easy to use. Compatible for Tello, T-Mobile, etc. He simply switched the card out. He did not need to take it in and have it reprogrammed.

This Kyocera DuraXA Unlocked flip phone is everything that Kyocera claims. It's tough, it has great volume (and yes, we haven't given it a dust or water bath) but it is supposed to be dust resistant and water-proof. It's battery lasts well and it's from a company that's known to make good, high-end products. My wife won't adjust to smart phones and does have a tendency to drop things, so this has good odds of lasting as long as 5G is the standard.

Phone shut off 45 mins into use and would not restart, showing only Kyocera opening page on display. Surprisingly poor quality control for a Japanese company; so I ordered another directly from the manufacturer as problem may be with the reseller.

I have had a problem with help on this cell phone, the battery does not work , I called Amazon, Kyocera and the Wizz the company that sold the phone to Amazon, Trying to get any of them to help on this is absolutely none. I can't even find a replacement battery for this phone. There is suppose to be a 2 year warrenty which is laughable. I think I bought a useless piece of garbage due to no help. the Wizz has no way of communicating with their buyer, their website has fake emails and phone numbers.
