The embedded metal rim is fantastic, they are easy to move from counter to freezer without slopping over or collapsing and easier to clean with this rigid edge.The lids are a perfect fit and eliminate the need for plastic wrap to protect the contents in the freezer.They held up to being filled with simmer-warm bone broth, and were easy to dislodge the frozen cubes the next day. They stacked nicely in the freezer, which I credit the metal rim and those snug lids, for this ease of storage. They cleaned up in a snap, there is no weird smell. Bonus is that it comes with a cover. At first I thought it would be too flimsy and flop because of the silicone but it does have a sturdy edge around the top of each one, with 6 ice cubes.I like them🥰 This is one of the best purchased that I made I highly recommend
