I purchased two of these about 6 months ago, one for each bedroom, and I purchased a different brand for the living room area. The living room dehumidifier is supposed to cover a larger area. These two smaller dehumidifiers run circles around the larger unit in the living room. Over the last 6 months I have dumped gallons of water out of them. I have yet to have the bin be completely full on the larger unit, it's a piece of junk. I wish I'd have bought one of these for the living room instead. They may be tiny, but they definitely work. I have to empty them about once a week, and they are aways almost completely full. If the collection bin does reach max capacity the light will turn red and the unit stops. I've only had that happen once as I usually empty them before they get that full. Each bedroom is quite small, about 8ft x 8ft, just to give you a picture of the area I am dehumidifying. But they work wonderfully. I no longer have moisture in the closets or on the windows. They have almost completely eliminated all condensation. They have air filters that can be taken out and cleaned which is more than I can say for the larger unit, so you can ensure they are getting good air flow. The units are small and take up very little space, which is important to me since the bedrooms are not all that large. I wasn't sure I was going to like the light, but if I select the pink or red color it doesn't bother me when I'm trying to sleep. It also acts as a gentle night light when you have to get up in the night. I turned the light off one time and found I actually like the light being on much better than it being off. I don't notice the unit putting out any heat which is nice in such a small space, but then again I've only had it for the winter. We will see what happens this summer.
