I have a 38 inch waist and could have sized down to large. I’ll keep the xl though just in case it feels good to be oversized. Have upcoming knee surgery. I just hope they don’t fall down since the waist is loose. Really comfortable. The best thing is the Velcro. I just don’t like snaps. Velcro is much easier to deal with.Update: I ended up returning these XL and getting size Large. I also ordered 3 more in other colors since I like them so much. Since surgery they have made life so much easier. My PT team loves them.They are attractive slacks. I’ve washed, dried and worn all of them three times. They look great after drying, and no shrinkage I’ve had no trouble with color fading. And Velcro being what it is, you just have to protect it by closing it up right away so it does not attract other fibers. These pants are very soft and comfortable and aid me in painlessly attending to my knee when I must.

These were really soft, stretchy and very comfortable! I broke my leg and had to have surgery so these came in very handy for traveling home from the hospital and will be nice for follow up visits when I will need PT and X-rays. The Velcro side closures stay closed and are easy to open.

Bought for knee surgery. Picked these because they remove all the way ankle to waist, which is really important. Makes everything from going to the bathroom to getting dressed much easier. Pockets. Velcro sides. I put these inside a garment bag and wash because everything in the wash will otherwise get damaged by Velcro, or get stuck to it. Bought navy, color stays. Not flashy, or super soft. Just do what they need to. They’re a straight fit for men. I couldn’t find a woman’s pant that met the requirements, but these get the job done. Wore in and out of hospital, ~2 weeks post-op, and to PT.

Just what I needed after knee replacement surgery. They fit great and the velcro stays in place. Great for when I go the therapy.

Finally, something to wear over the splint! None of my other pants could go over it, and these pants are easy to maneuver and work. Something somewhat stylish, way better than the paper hospital pants I was having to use!

I thought these pa ts would be great for my doctor exams after my total hip replacement surgery, but they are Too Long,so I cannot wear them until I can get them hemmed.
