Just like the conditioner from this line, L'Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Shampoo continues to be one of my all-time favorites, despite the frankly ridiculous amount of luxury haircare I've tried and reviewed over the past couple of years. My hair is fine, straight and very prone to frizz, so finding a shampoo that cleans thoroughly without stripping my hair or leaving it feeling dry and unruly is important. This one gets that balance just right. It lathers beautifully, rinses clean and leaves my hair feeling soft, smooth and manageable before I've even reached for the conditioner. Paired with the Elvive Total Repair 5 Conditioner, it does an excellent job taming my frizz without weighing down my fine hair. My hair feels clean and healthy, with noticeably less of that fluffy, flyaway look that can drive me crazy. I've used shampoos from some seriously expensive prestige and salon brands like OMG+, Olaplex, LolaVie and Pureology, and yet I continue coming back to this one. There's something wonderfully satisfying about finding a drugstore product that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with bottles costing several times as much. Great performance, great value and consistently great results. My luxury shampoos may have prettier bottles, but Elvive Total Repair 5 has earned permanent real estate in my shower!
