It secured the two pieces together very well. I had no issues.

Used this to mend a tear along a seam line on a silk dress. It worked great and has held up for several wears now. I will say, if it were in a more noticeable position it probably wouldn't work, as you'd be able to see the tape on such a thin flimsy material. But it irons on incredibly well and could easily be used as a great batting tape.
