True love
The fact that Braxton has love Heather since they were little tells a lot. The fact that even as a little boy all he wanted to do was protector her. Heather had to learn that she had to learn how to trust and love with her whole heart. I also loved that Braxton knew what he wanted and went after it. He knew that there love could overcome everything.

I want a Black brother to protect me!!!!!!
Braxton Black has been in love with Heather Lockhart since he was 6 years old. Heather has felt the same about him for just as long, but wouldn't even admit it to herself, as she has been hiding some pretty dark secrets for the same amount of time. Brax made a promise to her as a kid, that he would stand by her side and take care of her problems for her. He never let the promise go. He never gave his love to another, but Heather was really too messed up to handle how her heart and body felt about him and she couldn't get past their 4 year age difference. At one point she even used the fact that they would have difficulty as an interracial couple. What she didn't take into account was who Braxton was, she could run and hide all she wanted, but he is a Black, he's not going to give up.We have watched these two dance around each other for the first three books in the Brothers Black series. We knew there was more than met the eye, and we really could assume that Lucy was Heather's beard all along. They way Braxton teased her in the other books had to come from somewhere and be about something, but Blue was really good at just giving us enough to make sure we were salivating for Braxton the Charmer, by the time we got him. She did not disappoint. There were many times throughout out the book that I wanted to somehow reach through the pages and slap Heather myself. I really loved Braxton throughout the whole entire story. I wanted him to win her, and I wanted him to give up because I hated how she treated him all at the same time. His patience was other worldly!!!!! I felt for Heather, but hated how she let her childhood dictate her whole life, it made her seem weak to me. I loved when she started training to get her sense of self and confidence back.I was so excited for this release, and Blue Saffire, gave me everything with this book. I actually read it in one day and I was sad when I finished it. With every Blue book I say it can't get any better...... that's just not true. Each one gives me everything I was hoping for with the couple, even if I sometimes feel like it's taking forever for the couple to "get there" LOL! Thank you Blue Saffire for creating a fantasy world for us that makes us crave more and that says interracial relationships are okay. For making the men true men who cherish their women and always put their families first. For creating strong women who can absolutely take care of themselves and their loved ones, but are perfectly okay admitting they need their men and work best as a unit. I honestly hope we keep getting the Mairettie, Briggs, Black, Kemble, Donati, Caprisi, O'Brien, Monroe, McGowan, and Lincoln family stories for years to come!!Shalaia

Marvelous
WOW! I am enjoying this series and this is the third story which will easily steal your heart. It's a powerful combination of secrets and excitement that's so full suspense and romance. I really enjoyed these characters they are so amazing and great together. When you add in the drama along with tons of emotions plus some intriguing twists and turns then you have a story that's full of feelings and so beautiful. The story is great and it's suspenseful the couple i has belong together since small children but they are in love with each other. Their relationship has loads of romance and heartache but it all works out well together. This story is truly delightful and I Highly Recommend Reading it.

wished Braxton Girl was a little more secure
In reading the first two books both females had issues but trusted the love of their life Heather frustrated me. Braxton was there all the time but she never really trusted there love. But glad it turned out good.

OMG...Cass' wee monster is straight up OG!
Brax and Heather made an excellent loving couple once they both got their act together. Poor Heather had so much hurt and mistrust in her heart and soul was broken. She had to hide her true self to feel safe. The one person she counted on to protect her, her mother, may as well not be in her life.Even though Braxton was four years younger than Heather, he instinctively knew that something was off with his best friend and vowed to protect her and that they would take out the person that broke her. When the time came, the entire Black and O'Brien family had their back.Blue wrote a story that had me in tears in the beginning. The subject matter is very hard for me to read. I can't, for the love of God, understand why an adult would sexually abuse a child for their own selfish pleasure, not taking in the life long affects that abuse has on its victims. Blue handled this subject matter in a classy manner. I was happy to read all of the funny banter between the uncle's and the no nonsense manner of Cassidy, the boy's mother. It helped to lighten up a very serious topic. I just love the way Blue writes, and how she weaves characters from previous books. I so enjoyed this book.

Little Fireball.
Braxton Black, one of the babies of this series, he is funny, observant, and a really persistent man. I can say without a doubt this book was a little triggering as well. Heather's mom and what happened to her really got to me I completely understood that it was traumatic. Her mom not protecting her enough made me want to reach in and smack her. I felt so many emotions I want spill anything but just know, that you are gonna need some tissues. Now, I am understanding of needing a beard but I think this went too far and I want to say that LGBT+ community we are not all crazy! It was a little dragged out and I felt that kept Braxton at arms length with Heather. This book is still dear to my heart these characters and circumstances really touched me and then ending was perfection that is how I would have handled things.Overall the emotions will hit you hard and it's of course a must read.

A journey worth seeing through.
I don't think I could write properly just how beautiful this book is. It's a journey. It will trigger some or all but its a journey that is beautiful once seen to the end. Braxton's eternal love for Heather is just for lack of a better word- WOW. This man truly loves Heather. I absolutely love the name Heather has for their little team at the end. I wish that Heather hadn't let Lying Lucy manipulate her into doing things she wasn't comfortable with. She just used the guilt Heather had and her slight against her repeatedly. I wasn't here for it but both Heather and Lucy were wrong where they were wrong. Sometimes I wanted to dropkick Braxton but I love him. I love this family so much. And chiiile, I love, Every.Single.Scene that involves their crazy cousins and uncles from the McGowans and O'Briens. I bookmark and highlights those. They make me laugh so much and smile so much. Absolutely brilliant Blue!

Nope
Female LEAD treated love interest like crap for TWENTY-ONE, years. Failed to seek healing or redemption in that time frame.. Dragged friends and family through hell with poor decision making - the entire time. Was rooting for Heather initially... But in the end she failed to manifest as a character of Amy substance. Effectively, she turned out to be her mothers daughter - what a waste of a decent male lead.

Very Repeative
love this author's work.Whilst I enjoyed Braxton's story, I felt it was too long because it was very repeative about Heather's issues. This is my least favorite out of the series. I don't think Heather was badass at all. I thought she messed Braxton around and messed with his head. Not much action and not much story either. I appreciate the topic the book was exploring but on this occasion I don't think it was done that well. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Just WOW
I didn't see that coming. Braxton and Heather, this story, the truth behind Heather's attire. This story needs and deserves to be told and read.Blue Saffire has a way of writing about characters that my god leaves a reader always painting for more.I've read the first 3 books of the series and not once I've suspected what really was behind Heather and Braxton interactions.Heather is a survivour and a fighter. Another beautiful work. I've been waiting a while for this book and it was worth it.
