OVER ZANY COMEDY
The set up is outrageously comic. Two guys demoted to running the morgue on the night shift set up a prostitution racket. So far so good. But the zaniness soon begins to pall, and the chemistry between Michael Keaton as the dumb but wacky new hire and Henry Winkler as the dull under-achiever never sparks. It would have been a better movie with less overacting and a funnier script. I can't remember a single line of dialogue.

Good
Ahh,...the 80's!...funny once but has not stood the test of time. Michael Keatons character seen from this distance in time is overplayed and annoying. Film is very dated, predictable and flat.

Winkler and Long work well together
Looking a tad dated now but interesting plot and good line-up apart from a too over the top performance from Michael Keaton which he rescues towards the end. Winkler and Long work well together and overall some fine comedy mixed with a thick layer of sentimentality. For real film addicts if you concentrate very closely on the morgue frat scene you will glimpse a very early Kevin Costner appearance. Don't blink!
